Alien: Quadrilogy CircuitCity..= 4disc set??

i got the ad in my hand and above the box set it says 4 disc set..... could this be a slim down version with only the movies and nothing else.....??????

does anyone else have more info i was hoping to see it be the 9disc set... but above the title says 4 disc set......

either way i am heading to CC as soon as they open so will post once i find out.....

thanks

also this might not be the place to post this mods can move if they need too.. but figure more folks plan on getting this.. so a small heads up if it is only 4 disc set... i hope a miss print.. but the set has been out long enough for them to know

A safe option is to check the website and see if they list different details. I wondered if they changed it to a 4 disc set myself when I read the ad this morning. The website actually lists the 9 disc set for $19.99 which is a great price for those of you that are fans and haven't picked this up yet.
Here's the link...

That's the 9-disc set artwork. On top of that, look at the amount it states you are saving. It's obvious that it's a misprint, and that they mean it to say 9-disc set.

Just got the 9-disc set at Circuit City for $19.99. There was a lot of searching involved and found it misfiled in the box set area, their computer said they had three but this was the only one we could find.

It's online for $19.99 for the 9-Disc Boxset at Circuit City's website with $1.99 for standard shipping, that's another option if you can't find it.

Dayton, OH CC had 2 of the 9-disc in the scifi section (looked around, but that was it -- none in the boxed sets area). Grabbed one and it rang up $19.99.

None at the lousy Circuit City in my town. I guess I'll order it from their website. I should have just done that in the first place; it would have been worth the extra $2 not to have to dick around with their random DVD placement - they have some sort of "it's kind of vaguely alphabetical, but not quite" system that I can't quite interpret.

Hey, at least we can take comfort in the fact that the set is a damn fine one, no matter what the price was.

Heh, my mom got upset after paying $90+ for it for me for Christmas when it came out, and then found out I could have gotten it for cheaper through the DDD sale. She said I should have bought it, and she would have gotten me something else. After that, she won't buy me DVDs (or hardly anything else) since she knows I can probably find it cheaper.

But, on a side note, this set is what brought me to DVDTalk in the first place. I found it at Wal-Mart weeks before its release date (when I found it, I showed it to my mom, which is why she knew to get it for me), and was searching around about it because I didn't think it was out yet. I think I may have even posted about it. And because I found DVDTalk, I found the DDD sale! So I owe a lot to the Alien Quad set (even though I hardly even watched any of it).

I think I'll wait until FOX does a Blu-ray release. By the time it comes out maybe they'll have worked out their lackluster releases (e.g. dropping extra content from the SD DVDs). I already own 1 & 2 so feel no reason to double-dip yet. Still that is a phenominal price!

yeah this sucks...

not likely they are going to order more of a close out...

EDIT since it's $1.99 shipping + sales tax at Circuit City... i called and they charge tax on every sale over the web...

Amazon has the Quadrilogy at $29.99 with free ship, in stock...

i may just pay $5 more and go that route...

$5 covers gas driving around looking at stores anyway...
