Not likely as it is larger, over 1/4 pound.

^^ Wow - didn't know. Bummer.
Just another example of the corporate sector doing anything/everything they can to screw the consumer and increase their profit margin.
Sorry for the rant & the OT folks...

You can find all three seasons of the Twilight Zone on BR for $44.95, but call beforehand. The Hawthorne, CA store has them; the Culver City one does not.

I'm sure it's still a Vienna hot dog at the Chicago location on Clybourn & Damen. The Vienna factory's practically right next door and there's probably no city more serious about their hot dogs than Chi. Back on the East Coast now so I can't check...sorry you lost your Hebrew Nationals.

Yeah, I was surprised to see about a dozen of these at my Costco just now.

Finally some good news for me on the Costco DVD front. Time to start saving up pennies.

Yeah, the pickings at Costco have been pretty slim for a long time. Almost nothing there for me since I found the Michael Powell double feature set last year...I keep hoping one day they'll have that Jack Elam boxed set I've been waiting for, but so far no luck.

I can dream, can't I?

I keep hoping they'll one day offer a good deal on the Sam Fuller and William Castle sets from Sony. Not holding my breath for that, but these Noir offer a little bit of hope.

I only recall one person saying they found the Columbia Film Noir sets? Anyone else? I struck out at the first Costco I tried.

We're going to Costco today to pick up a 55-gallon drum of pickles and
a few other items we can't live without so I'll see if any have made their way to Honolulu yet. Not holding my breath.

I just saw both of the Sony (Columbia) Film Noir sets in Portland, OR today. This was the first time I'd seen them.

Still haven't gone to Costco; Mrs. Calamari went without me and got all the usual Costco stuff (I don't know how long it'll take to eat 60 lbs. of onions, but I'm going to find out) and didn't get any DVDs, which is pretty unusual. So I'll go tonight or tomorrow, since that Sony deal is too good to pass up if you're as much of a Film Noir fan as I am.

Re: General Costco DVD Thread

Has anyone seen either the Sony/Columbia "William Castle" or "Samuel Fuller" Collections at Costco?

They do have the Blu-ray set of "Planet Earth/Life" for $39.99.

No, but both are on sale at Amazon as part of a Sony sale. The Castle is 36.49 and the Fuller is 39.99.

Also remember the Planet Earth set on this is with Oparh which is not the original BBC version.

Re: General Costco DVD Thread

Well I was a bit disappointed to see the Sony/Columbia noir sets at mine for 24.99, only because I had picked them up already at Borders for 50% off (29.99) just the day before.

Anyone still see any Busby Berkeley (complete) box sets...I didn't pick them up when I saw it & now they're gone....

Re: General Costco DVD Thread

I picked up the Fuller box set at Borders too (55% off), about 36 + tax.

Re: General Costco DVD Thread

Not sure if this has already been mentioned but I saw seasons of Babylon 5 for 15.99 each. My Costco had seasons 1,3,4,5 but no copies of Season 2.

Still no luck finding the Film Noir sets. It looks like Amazon's 29.99 price will have to do.
