All new release books are grouped together, regardless of their subject matter.

"Originality" I think you mean. And regardless, I stand by my comment.

These are the Sony sets and include such films as It Happened One Night and Mr Smith and Mr Deeds films on the Capra set and Only Angels Have Wings and the Awful Truth on the Grant set. Both great sets at a good price for those who don't have them. There are 5 films in each set which makes it $4 a film.

Just saw Seinfeld: The Complete Series on DVD for only $89.99.

Also, we just got Mad Men (Season 1-3) on DVD for $11.99/each. They might not be on the floor for sale today though.

Saw Doris Day Spotlight collection
Esther Williams Spotlight Volume 2
Bette Davis Signature Volume 3

Also saw new Fox Paul Newman and Cary Grants sets ( all with previously released material and in some cases older versions of films for $19.99. A mix of Fox and MGM meaning UA films. Grant set included older version of An Affair to Remember and People Will Talk among others. Newman set included single disc of Butch Cassidy and View from a Terrace.)

Hey Classic Films - are those Fox sets of Newman and Grant like the Monroe, Temple, and Charlie Chan sets last year containing 15 or so films per?

Sorry but they are only 5 or 6 films in standard cases. Nothing like the $50 sets sold last year.

Fox 75th Anniversary Collection was out at the Norwalk CT store. Price was $299.99. As it is not scheduled to be released until December 7 per Amazon I assume it was put out early by mistake.

Here are the details at Amazon.

And mine too, Victorville, CA. I picked it up to check it out and it was about 15lbs! Ok maybe half that. There were several of them out too. Not for me though, I already own most of the movies I'd be interested in. Just funny to find out that it wasn't supposed to be out yet.

Anyone have any info on the Marilyn: The Premiere Collection? I know it was available exclusively during the summer, but I still don't see any other stores carrying it.

As you said it seemed to be exclusive to Costco. They have had other exclusives with Fox in the past such as standard DVD gift sets of Sound of Music, West Side Story, Fiddler On the Roof, South Pacific and perhaps others I can't remember. The configuration is unique to Costco but everything sold in the exclusive sets is available everywhere. The gift sets they are currently selling for the Disney films including the first 2 Toy Stories may also be exclusive to Costco as I don't see them listed as available at Amazon or elsewhere. The only information about the set you already know. It has been at Costco only. It was available during Christmas season 2009 and the summer of 2010. It is currently not available. Someone may get lucky if someone else returns a set and it is put out for sale. You never know when or if they put it out again.

For some reason these were sent to the warehouses and they didn't have any specific street date listed on the box. Usually if stuff is put out early before street date the items won't even be able to be sold at the registers, I double checked today and the box set is able to be sold.

Saw them out on Tuesday afternoon, but I waited for the Amazon sale to save a few bucks + tax.

I kinda wish I would've waited, too. But oh well. Still a good deal.
