Found some MGM Classics DVD for 6.99 each

Some Like It Hot - 50th Anniversary (WS, 5.1/Mono) - http://www.amazon.com/Some-Like-Hot-...cmu_pg__header - dvd cover is the 3rd image

The Producers 2 disc - Deluxe Edition (WS/FS 5.1/Mono) - http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/19100...e-edition-the/

12 Angry Men - Collector's Edition (WS, Mono) - http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/32534...ctors-edition/ - dvd cover says collector's edition, not 50th anniversary but I believe it is the same disc.

Don't know if they're the best deals but not bad for some classics. They have a MGM Classics cardboard title over the front of the DVD case which is easily removed.

Serpico

Do you mean Dog Day Afternoon? Serpico isn't a Warner title.

Did you happen to notice if they have cut out marks on the barcode??? I just grabbed American in Paris(2 disc version) at TJ Maxx for $7.99 and it was a cutout...

It was not a cutout. And to the prior poster you are correct the film is Dog Day Afternoon. I have corrected post.

They also have The Mentalist S1 and S2, as well as some other WB TV on DVD sets, for the same price.

Saw "Rocky & Bullwinkle" season sets for $8.99 each - Only S1, S2, & S3, no S4. S2 is the slim pack.

"Flying Nun" S1 and S2 now available $10.99 each season

In addition to the Warner academy winners, MGM has a bunch too

I think they are $6.99

Cabaret
Driving Miss Daisy
Mr Deeds Goes to Town
Mr Smith Goes to Washington
Pink Panther '64
On Golden Pond
and many more

It was pulled after Christmas with a lot of other box sets.

FYI Casablanca is going OP at the end of March in both SD and blu ray. It will be released again next year in a 70th anniversary set. ( maybe they found a third letter of transit to include with a new gift set.) The blu ray, movie only, is still $12.99 at Costco. It could be that the Bogart set, which includes Casablanca will go OP also.

Mummy Trilogy (2 disc widescreens each ) $12.99
Jurassic Park (ditto) $12.99
Northern Exposure S1/s2 marked $34.99 but rung up $19.99
Northern Exposure S3 - ditto

And a display of Fox Oscar winners for 4.99 or 5.99 dont remember - Cleopatra, Rain Man, Graduate, etc

My Costco had a couple of other Universal sets for the same $12.99-Back to the Future Trilogy and The Bourne Trilogy. The shrinkwrap looked fine on the sets at this particular location.

Just picked up Fringe S2 for $16.99.

I got S1 for less on Black Friday, but we were anxious to see S2 after just finishing it.

Picked up the Yogi the Bear set. My Costco made a horrible change in their display of DVDs. It is surrounded by the books with the movies placed up higher. You have to reach over the books to look at the DVDs. It was horrible and not prudent to browsing. My wife would never be able to look through the DVDs.

My favorite Costco deal is gone. They replaced the Hebrew National Hot Dogs with Kirkland Hot Dogs. Still $1.50 including a soda but its no longer Hebrew National. I know this change was made already in many parts of the country but it just happened in New York and Las Vegas. Darn you Costco.

I think it's always been Kirkland here in the Cleveland area. It's sort of an odd tasting hot dog and there's not much difference between the regular and polish one. I wish they did offer the Hebrew National instead.

Hopefully the change is for fewer calories - who knew that the hot dog or Polish sausage had somewhere between 540 – 570 calories? http://addictedtocostco.com/2009/05/...l-information/
