2 stores with no luck. Did see the 2 for 10 dvds, but no Gladiator.

I hit the Mt. Clemens, MI store on the way home just for the hell of it and their copy was gone already, assuming they had one.

Didn't find any at the 4 stores in Hickory, NC. Anybody find any nearby? If so, a heads up would be great.

Again thanks to the OP. Found one today while killing time - it was in a separate area with the toys instead of with the rest of the DVDs. Incidentally, you can make out like a bandit at Dollar General if your kids are into Cranium toys.

Even if you can't find it at DG, then it has been on Amazon at around 7-8.00 New from alternate sellers for some time now.

The store in Lithia Springs, GA didn't have Gladiator but it DID have the Easy Rider 35th Anniversary Special edition for $10 which is pretty cheap...

I was thinking that I already had this, but I figured "what the heck" and stopped in at the little rural DG near the Navy base I work at. I'm glad I did, the box is huge! I also picked up Sum Of All Fears (WS) for another fiver (even tho I could get it from DD for a dime cheaper) bec the checkout gal insisted that the "2 for $10" sticker meant I had to buy 2 DVDs. rotfl
I nearly grabbed M:I-3 as my 2nd title, but then I noticed it was the foolscreen version, and I insist that everything I buy is letterschlocked. Thanks OP. |
Went to two Dollar Generals in the Binghamton New York area last night with no luck, but today after work I decided to hit a third store (that I passed by on going to last night) and they had it. It was in a box with other Universal titles in their "Bargain Zone" area.

I checked the last 2 here in Muskegon and no dice. I'm hoping to have better luck tomorrow in Grand Rapids.

In the St. Louis, MO area....hit all 3 Alton, IL stores (scored the copy at the one by 141/Broadway; the copy was already gone at the East Alton store, and the Homer Parkway store didn't have the shipment yet). In North County/St. Louis; the 367/Parker Rd store had the shipper but was out, ditto for Lindbergh/Thunderbird (Paddock Hills), and snagged a copy for a friend at Mullanphy/Shackleford (which annoyed the employee who was working there, because HE wanted it, but didn't realize it was there). oops. :) The Howdershell/Linn Haven store I didn't see the shipper either. In St. Charles, the Harvester store HAS (HAD) a copy, but the case is pretty beat up (I passed on it, which was the first store I went to).

THere's a DG in this town down the street that I'll check out later today. A 5.00 3 disc Gladiator would be a fantastic find for this shit-hole town. Thanks for the heads up!

Thanks OP! After going to 5 different stores I finally found one about 45 minutes away from where I live (I was going through there anyway).
Sidenote: I've been going to the DG close to my house everyday since I seen this thread except Friday. They must have put them out sometimes between Thursday evening & Friday evening cause it was gone when they opened this morning. |
