Thanks for the heads up. I picked up a couple odds and ends for some collections, including some of the current ADV sale that TRSI currently has sold out.

I hope TRSI gets some more stock on several of their OOS items. I had the last ones of a few in my cart last night and as I was picking out the very last item to complete it, my cart emptied and about half of my order had sold out within that time.

So, these Animania events are not just for Suncoast stores anymore? Might have to stop by my local FYE if that's the case. It always sounds fun but I've never seen my FYE participating...

In my area, as far as I know only the Suncoast stores run these events and not FYE. Other regions around the country may vary. The best thing to do is to call your local store to see if they are running the ANIMANIA event.

I know of at least one FYE (west coast, california) in my area that is running the animania event this Sunday.

And what exactly is this BUZZ CLUB (BIG LOTS) MEMBER? I've never heard of this, ever.

eh well I wonder if they'll restock before that sale is over.

btw I got shipment confirmation on my RightStuf order! I wasn't expecting that until sometime next month. Definitely a pleasant surprise!

After your post I zipped over to the site and they still had it listed. I tried to put it in my cart and get an error message. When I refreshed the page, the Arc set was no longer listed. Arrgh..missed it by that much.

Not sure if you guys post good deals for other region DVDs, but a whole 6 disc boxset of Heat Guy J can be bought for less than 14 bucks on Amazon.co.uk:

When I was looking for a deal on this series I had to order a R4 box, it's about half as cheap as getting R1 volumes, very well made, beautiful, thick cardboard box. Aproximately 70 bucks shipped, but other Australian stores might have it cheaper.

Photos of the box can be seen on this russian forum where we put up pics of all kinds of releases:

I had great success today at FYE. I got each of the following discs for $13.50 today after $10 off, buy one get one half off deal, and FYE backstage pass. Had no problems at all.

Beck vol 3-6 (6 was put out early I believe)
Mushishi 2-4
School Rumble 4

Same here. I was able to score Gun Sword 4-7, Rozen Maiden 2-3, Karin 3 and When They Cry 3 for $108 plus tax. I even got a copy of Castle of Cagliostro for free for answering a trivia question(who died in Cowboy Bebop?)

I completely forgot about the anime sale at FYE, so when I walked in to find 3 volumes of Fate/stay night 5, I immediately bought them all, along with Paradise Kiss 3 for $62.xx. Pretty good deal I suppose, especially for OOP Geneon titles. The $10 off Funi, Geneon, and Bandai DVDs and B1G1 50% off stacked.

I can't believe I actually bought Paradise Kiss. After learning that the box set would be canceled, I had it set that I wouldn't be getting this series. I suppose my love for the art direction, since it's the same man who directed BECK, compelled me. If the $10 off sale is going to be going on any longer, I might as well pick up Paradise Kiss 2, since that's (sadly) the cheapest price that I can find it at, along with volume 1 + box at Best Buy with my gift card.

BuyRiteDVD.com is back up and running again after relocating their warehouse(s). There are some new titles listed in the last post while there are more in their anime section as well.

Fodder1976, Sweet Baby James, and Raye, it's good to see you all had success at your local Trans World Ent. store. I didn't see anything that I really needed at my local store. Oh well!

However I was very happy to pick up used copies of these at my local Half Price Books store for $30~:
  • Photon: The Idiot Adventures (1st Release)
  • Spring & Chaos (Special Limited Edition w/animation cel)
and non-anime stuff
  • Batman Begins (2-Disc w/Lenticular Cover & Comic)
  • Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs (2-Disc)

It's an OOP series by Bandai Entertainment (12 episodes). It's currently $12.99 @ BuyRiteDVD.com. You can see more details here and Review from AoD.

WTK, I was looking to go to FYE to get in on the 10$ off sale for the shana volumes I'm missing. When I called the woman said she didn't know about any of the promotions and that they were listed at 20$ a piece. I'm just wondering if they were 20$ after the discount or they would be 10$ a piece?
