Do you remember which section of the LA Times contained that ad? We have alot of old newspapers which I'd be willing to sort through.

I think it was in the paper that came out a week or 2 before the Bourne Ultimatum. It wasn't in a particular part of the paper....it was loose inside the paper folded in half....it had coupons to Bourne Ultimatum, Balls of Fire, Heroes, Chuck and Larry....and maybe one or 2 more.

If anyone's still interested, a higher resolution, uncrumpled copy has been posted over at CAG (scroll down to the bottom of the page for a cleaned-up version):

Target cashiers will most likely try to scan any coupon you hand them. But just to point out that attempting to use a photocopied coupon is considered coupon fraud, not that anything would really happen though. Target will not be reimbursed by the coupon issuer for the copied coupons.

Ahem. OK... everyone practice saying this:

"[insert someones name here] gave me this, I really didn't read it... I had no idea... oh, sorry..."

I'm making a trip to target today and giving this a shot.

As for the coupon fraud, I've never had a cashier give me trouble with a scanned coupon aside from the occasional "we can't accept those."

Anyway, thanks go out to OP and to unholy for finding the higher res scan.

How big is this coupon supposed to be? the better image is quite large... wondering if it needs to be shrunk down a bit to its "normal size" ?

So does this king size coupon thing scan correctly at Target? Going to go give it a try here in a bit.

went and they were out of season 1. They had 1 of the target exclusive deluxe version, but the csr wouldn't give it to me at the sale price. I would have argued with them or asked for a manager but I caught them putting wii's out and jumped on one. So no luck on heroes, but I got a WII!!!!

Scanned perfectly no questions asked at Target. I ended up with 3 for family + friends, since there was so many in stock.

I actually feel guilty about it (haven't used it yet) if Target doesn't get compensated due to it being a duplication. Yet, $13 for Heroes is a huge deal.

Do retailers actually send in these coupons after they are redeemed by consumers? I always thought that there was some form of electronic reimbursement that is used. Otherwise, it would seem like a lot of work to sort out coupons and send each one to its rightful issuer. If stores such as Target get too many of these copies that may be detected after the fact, why would they trouble themselves to allow coupons in the future?? Obviously if it is an electronic reimbursement, then the likelihood of these copied coupons being discovered is reduced...

Thanks for the coupon. It worked just fine at my local target. I shrink the coupon down a bit in MS word (about half the size).

They had a whole bunch of the season 1 DVD. I bought 2 copies for $13 each (one for me and one for a friend.)

Ended up getting a PM @ BB. Sucks that I went to Target first. They had one box set left right behind the $19 sign. When I got to the counter, it rang up at $54.99. When I said I got it from the shelf behind the $19 sign, I then was kept waiting for 30 minutes as they checked prices and stock. When all was said and done, the cashier said that this was the only box set left, it was the collectors edition, it was indeed $54.99, and did I still want it. I told her NO as I was not going to pay over twice the price for that version. While the 8th disc and the Tim Sale drawings would have been cool, it was not worth an additional $35.99. The cashier then asked me if I was sure. I had to again say no unless it was going to be $19. She said no it is $54.99 and is the only one left. I asked for a rain check (which basically stated it was good until Feb08 if they get any back in stock, but I could drive 20 miles to another store to get the item -- yeah right). Anyway, I wish I could have gotten the other $6 but the clear scan came after I bought mine and I doubt my BB would have honored it after a PM.

Just used the clear scanned coupon with no trouble. Shrunk it down to about 60% of the original. Cashier could not have cared less. Blind buy for me. Can't go too wrong for $13 plus sales tax.
