On Tuesday I checked two BBs and only found one set.

Last night one of those same BBs had several. I don't think this one will sell out quickly.

I'm still debating on whether I really want mine, I guess I have 28 days to decide.

Today the King of Prussia BB didn't have any on the floor or even any price stickers out, but they had them in the back. I got it for essentially $153 total. I used the 10% off DVDs "correction" coupon from the set of 4 that BB just e-mailed out to Zone members. It didn't ring up automatically, but without me saying a word the cashier hand-keyed in the 10% discount. I also selected the Reward Zone benefit of receiving double points before 11 AM and signed up for a Reward Zone Mastercard today. The fine print on the 11 AM offer says the Mastercard gets you points that are worth 6% back on your purchase, so that will exactly cancel out PA sales tax.

I've been meaning to sign up for the Mastercard anyway since they're offering $30 worth of free points with your first non-BB purchase. That's up from the Spring when they were offering $25. And it gets you 4% back in points vs. the 2% you get with the normal Reward Zone card. They say it does merge with your existing Zone account so hopefully no messiness there.

I decided to keep my fridge set. BB let me use the 10% coupon, so I got it for $152.

I realized that I only owned seasons 1-6, so I would have had to buy 7-9 for about $70. So as long as I can get $82 for my old seasons 1-6 (half still sealed) I break even. And "profit" the book, bonus disc, and fridge.

those of you that have the gift sets and are selling off previously purchased seasons...are you just letting the dvd's go, or giving up the whole sets ie with the salt/pepper shakers, script, puffy shirt?

I'm keeping my "exclusives" obviously.

I never bought any of the exclusive sets, so it was an easy decision for me. But I'd keep those if I were you. Just unload the seasons themselves...

FYI, I opened my fridge set. It is much larger than I thought. There is food in the doors (pictures of, obviously). There are 2 magnetic doors, plus a magnetic top (to make it easier to remove the DVD collection). The set of 4 magnets are sealed inside. Personally, I think they could have chosen better magnets to include, but I do like the fridge itself.

Hmm, I admire your asking, but I can't imagine you finding someone to sell it at a reasonable cost.

Most people buying the fridge are buying it for the fridge.

I guess if someone was planning on just buying the complete set at BB, they could pay the extra $? to get the fridge set just for you.

What is the cost difference?

And your best bet is to find someone like that quick, as I imagine the price goes up tomorrow.

If I'm not mistaken, the fridge set is actually CHEAPER than any other version of the set.

Really? That's bizarre.

Is the set inside sealed and UPCed? I guess someone could buy multiple of the fridge sets and split them up on ebay or something..... (saving one fridge for animatedude of course).

Or better yet, you could do that yourself animatedude. Keep the fridge, and I'm sure you could get $160 or so for the complete set.

I'd open mine, but I'd rather wait until I sell my seasons 1-6, just in case I end up not selling them and need to reverse my decision. I know a couple people opened them, either this thread or the other one it was described.

Yep. mine is.

My Best buy only had one on display, the one I bought. The clerk said most stores only got 4. Of course that isn't always the case.

Thanks Shacmasta.

My local BBs got more than 4 I believe, but in waves. They were sold out by Tuesday evening, but then got more in and still have them.

It is good to know that it is sealed and UPCed inside. It makes me think about possibly buying more, breaking them apart, and selling the sealed sets on ebay. I imagine that a $169 price would sell pretty easily, since the retail is over $200 and the first week sale prices are over after today. Of course, with ebay and paypal fees you'd have to sell at at least $190 probably, so I don't know.

no they don't but that's OK cos i have a US mail box...i would order it from their online store but i can't spend $169.99 at one shot ya know....so i hope if some can sell the fridge only via amazon marketplace with a reasonable price then later on when the complete set is on sale,i can buy it.

I bought this set at FYE.com with some store credit, but I really want to have that outer fridge box. So, if anyone here bought the set at Best Buy and doesn't really care about the fridge part, I will pay a good price for it.

Anyone interested can send my a PM.

Does anyone have the UPC for the fridge set? I'm trying to add it to DVDSpot, but they won't accept it without the UPC, and stupid me threw out the paper that it was printed on.
