Heroes in-store excusives?

Any chance of the B&M stores having Heroes exclusives, or am I safe pre-ordering through Amazon?

I'd say there is a pretty good chance of an exclusive.

And an equally good chance that all of them will be little more than insignificant, tawdry fluff.

Well that goes without saying. Of the 400 or so bonus discs I own, maybe 20 are "significant."

Somebody should think to package the DVD set with the Graphic Novel.

sucks the HD-DVD version will get shafted out of the in store exclusives, and cost more while the DVD version will have the in store exclusives and cost less =(

DC Comics will be publishing a print version sometime this fall (specific date not yet announced). However, they are already "out" in electronic form here (for free): http://www.nbc.com/Heroes/novels/

Given how awesome the HD DVD set sounds, I'll be able to live without the Heroes coffee mug or promo featurette DVD.

But your point is well-taken. I'm hoping that we soon get to the point when HD releases are given the same bonus goodies as standard def.

Get an Extra 5% off the price

If you ordered directly from Amazon then you paid 38.89 whereas if you went through www.tvguide.com/dvd you will get an extra 5% off making it 37.04. Also there are 20 titles of scifi movies coming out and you can get the extra 5% off which by the way goes through Amazon.com.The HD DVD version is sale priced @ 66.45 vs 69.95.

http://www.tvguide.com/special/dvd/ code TVGuide5

They handed out Heroes comics at San Diego Comic Con... Unfortunately, I didn't get one, but I looked at someone else's... Saw em on Ebay, too...

Any word on any exclusives yet?

I pre-ordered with that TVGuide deal, since I don't think that price will be beatable but am still wondering if I might be missing out on some good in-store exclusives.

Hey guys, talked to my local Target and they have a pretty nice exclusive. You get a bonus disc with a 45 minute interview with the cast, 4 mini paintings (didn't know exact size), and an exclusive slipcase/box. The cover is a little different from what I was told.

The price will be $44.99. Regular edition will be advertised for $39.99.

^ that sounds awesome! probably will be getting it at target... but i'm guessing bb/cc will have their own cool exclusives too... i kinda hope not just because i would probably end up buying 3 copies to get all the exclusives...

also, i went to suncoast.you can get a free poster when you pre-order heroes. don't know the size of the poster or who/what is on it, but it looks like that will be their only exclusive, no bonus disc or anything according to the store associate.

Hopefully somebody can figure out what BB/CC exclusives are (if any) so I could know whether I'm going to Target or BB/CC ;D

Best Buy Exclusive Comic Book w/ purchase. $36.99. If the Target Deluxe Edition proves true, that should be the place to get it. surprised BB had kind of a bland exclusive honestly. and it's doubtful CC will have anything better if their track record is any indication.

Until I see the Target edition, I'm pretty content with the deal I got through Amazon with the TVGuide discount. Waiting for pictures from Target to pop up to decide how I really feel.

Right now it seems as if target has the best exclusives, best buy's is weak compared to it. All depends on what CC has to offer now

It would have to be pretty fuckin' amazing for me to buy it at CC after the way they've treated DVDTalk.

Anyone know what the price will be for the HD version at BB?

^ 99.99 is in the ad. so it doesn't look like there's any first-week price break for the HD version.

oooh, that looks cool. anyone know if that other cover is a larger slipcase that is put over the "regular" box, like target's deluxe version of devil wears prada? or is like target's deluxe OC season 4 where its the same inside but just has a different cover?
