here are some pictures...not the greatest quality but will give you an idea of what it looks like
BTW: The inside box itself seems to be specially made for Target as it lists Disc 8 and also the bonus disc has character profiles as well as the Paley Interview

I picked up my Target copy at lunch using the $5 off coupon, no questions asked. Looked like there were 12 copies of the exclusive set and I was the first one to buy one.

the main differences I can see are:
Regular Set: No extra flap, 7 Discs, cast picture as inside box cover (from seeing the commercial for the regular DVD set)
Target Set: Special Eclipse Cutout Slipcover, 4 Mini-Paintings, Extra Flap holding the mini-paintings and the Disc 8 info listed, 8 Discs (bonus disc with Paley Festival interview and character profiles for Claire, Niki, Peter, Hiro, and Mohinder), spine of the set has HEROES shown the way it is on the front cover (vertically), and the inside box cover of this set is shown in more pictures below
also by looking at the pictures of the regular set on the Heroes site the artwork behind the discs seems to be different between the sets too
other than Discs 1-7 it is safe to say that the Target Set is completely different than the regular set...easily worth the $8 difference in price

Coupon worked fine for me at my local Target.
I resized it in Photoshop to about 3.75" wide and printed it on a nice laser printer.
The lady couldn't swipe/scan it but it worked fine when she used the scanner gun. I would guess that most people after swiping it and it not working are going to look at it closer, so YMMV.
There was only one set left after I picked up mine too, so anyone who hasn't picked this up yet, you better hurry out to your local store.

The coupon worked fine for me, too. I paid for mine in the electronics department rather than the front register, so the clerk used a scanning gun by default. Judging by the display space, it appears my local Target initially set out about equal amounts of both sets. But, it definitely looked like more deluxe editions were sold than regular sets. Many thanks to the OP for the $5 off coupon! For $39.99, this is a great looking 8-disc set!

That Target box looks pretty sweet.
I wish the HD-DVD set had an extra flap to hold the booklet.

If that is not the case for you, don't you have any sort of basic photo editing software to just shrink it down.

Picked the last one up at Burbank Target at around 8:20 or so (unless they had stock in the back, they had open boxes all over the place and no more exclusives).
Bought it for a friend as a gift since I have the HD-dvd version on the way from Amazon, but the pictures above, and the dubious quality of the video on the HD version, tempt me to keep this for myself...

Got the coupon reduced in size and printed in color. Cashier took it and it scanned with no problems.
I used it toward the regular edition for $32.99, after coupon. I wasn't interested in the Target "exclusives," not worth it to me. I just wanted the lowest possible price. There's enough extras on the set as it is.
So I'm happy!
P.S. At the Target I went to, there was an equal number of regular and "exclusive" editions.

I chose to print more than one per page - four - and I got one printed the size I wanted on the page.
This is also the most I've spent on a DVD all year!
P.S. With all this talk about the Target "exclusives," the comic book being offered at BBuy has been completely overlooked. What's it like? Any good? That might have interested me more than the Target offer.
Also, at Target, regular prices, the price difference between regular and exclusive is $5 - $50 vs $55.
But with the "sale," it's $7 - $38 vs $45.

My Target has 4 exclusive editions available. One went home with me.
I love the fact that the extra disc is a part of the set, rather than being shrink-wrapped on to the regular packaging like so many others.

Got mine at Target and used the coupon, no problem. She did have to use the scanner gun though. Atleast she didn't have to type in the long number. They HATE doing that.
Was told they got 12 sets per store. Not sure how accurate that is though.
