Does anyone know if the transfers are better than the originals on The Wicker Man, Halloween, and Re-Animator. I have the first releases and don't want to upgrade just for special features.
Nevermind, I just skimmed some of the Reviews here at DVDTalk. Think I'll pass.

I Got:
Dawn of the Dead: UE - $19.99
Evil Dead 2: BotD Edition - $16.99
Suspiria - $5.99
Cemetery Mean - $8.49
This is the lowest I have seen any of these titles, so I am happy with the purchase.

My guess is that one of Amazon's distributors pulled a fast one on them (and me). So, it does happen, but it's not typical.

The sale is still going. I just noticed that most of the $5.99 DVDs on this sale are also part of the "Buy 3 Get 1 Free" promotion. So you can get 4 DVDs for $17.97.
Some titles are:
THE STUFF
CHUD
ALIEN APOCALYPSE
NEON MANIACS
CHEERLEADER CAMP
EVILSPEAK
HOUSE BY THE CEMETERY
THE LOCALS
MALEVOLENCE

MOUNTAINTOP MOTEL MASSACRE
NEON MANIACS
RETURN TO HORROR HIGH
PUPPETMASTER VS DEMONIC TOYS
THE STUFF
SLEEPAWAY CAMP 1-3
TO THE DEVIL A DAIGHTER
VAMP

My order for The Mario Bava Collection and Dead of Night/Queen of Spades arrived yesterday.
I was impressed once again with the quality of Amazon's packaging.
Both sets were shipped in a sturdy box. Inside the box the DVDs had been placed on a thick piece of cardboard with plastic sealed around them so that they wouldn't shift around and get beat up during the journey (one of the things I've always tried to impress on my shipping employees in my own mail-order used book business is that the interior packaging is just as important as the exterior).
The fragile Bava Collection box arrived in pristine condition with nary a dent or ding anywhere.
After frustrating experiences with the useless, flimsy packaging used by FYE.com and BestBuy.com for fragile box sets, it's refreshing to have an online retailer who really seems to care if your purchase arrives in one piece.
