I just picked up the Martin Scorsese Collection and King of Queens S7. The guy there was being a complete and total anus, and made me feel like an ass for asking him about the rebates. I didn't even have a lot of questions, or even dumb ones, just wanted to make sure both were on sale as to not end up spending $80 since nothing was marked down or anything. Of course, not saying anything about the store or any fellow FYE employees, just that one guy. Kurt, you suck.

Anyway, thanks to the original poster. I'll probably check back again before the sale is over.

No offense taken.

There are definitely a lot of idiots that work for FYE. Many stores won't even have the promotions set up correctly, so the average customer would have no way of knowing that a deal or sale was even occurring. The nice thing about it is that all of the pricing and rebates are downloaded automatically, so even if the employees are clueless, it doesn't really matter.

Kurt sounds like a tool though. Sorry you had to deal with him.

I had almost the same problem when I asked about rebates, so I walked out of the store. Especially the answer I got was that the rebates were $10, which is not what the original poster stated.

So my question is this: are the Seinfeld sets $24.99 with a $13 rebate, as the OP said, or is the rebate only $10, which is what the FYE employee, who made me feel like a dumbasss for even asking, told me?

It should be what the OP said. My rebates show $14 for King of Queens and $11 for the Scorsese set, so I guess it's $13 off for Seinfeld. The guy I had seemed fairly clueless about it too, so your guy probably wasn't sure and just guessed an answer.

I bought Season 7 and it rung up at $23.99 with a $13 rebate. They guys at my store (Jackson, MS) were very friendly but unaware of the sale. As they were ringing it up I told them the rebate would spit out. They were amazed when it did. They were wanting to know how I knew that! :-)

Ok, thanks guys. One other quick question - is the sale and rebate(s) only good for this week?

Much thanks again,

I cannot really complain because the deals that they are offering are great, but they really do not know how to market their sales at all in the store.

They had a table with a sign on the top saying "$9.99 after rebate." I saw a bunch of box sets with their price reduced to about $22.99, which gave me the idea that everything on this table was part of the same deal. I go up to the register and half the things do not print out with a rebate despite being on the table and they can only respond with "I guess they should not be there" and they had a Marlon Brando box set marked specially as $5.99 after rebate, when in fact it really was $9.99. Their employees are clueless about the deal as well. None of them have any idea what is in fact included.

They should just have an entire table of everything market $9.99 after rebate, and only box sets included, should be on that table. It would make it a lot easier on buyers knowing what is included and what is not, and there sales would probably increase as well because people actually would have a clue what price they were paying.

This was true at my local store. There was a display but it was mostly empty. The titles people have mentioned in this thread were in their regular sections.

However, I asked about the sale and they actually showed me a master list of all the titles that were to be included. Something they must get from their home office. It's a pretty huge list. If anybody else goes in ask the clerks if they can show it to you.

I asked, and they claimed that they could not show me anything.

Do you happen to remember anything that has not been mentioned in this thread worth buying?

Went to FYE today, that looked like a pretty complete list. Picked up Futurama S3 + S4. As Ltrain said, rebate program is good until 6/13/07, and rebate form prints out with your purchase...thanks OP!

Not really, sorry. There was a lot of stuff I didn't even know what it was. Most of what I wanted to get was already posted here. There were a few of the "actor Collection" series (like Barbra Steisand) that was on there but that's all I remember.

Just thought that I would add that the rebate amounts have been corrected from their earlier discrepancies and everything with rebates should now be $9.99 after MIR instead of $10.99 as originally reported. (Seinfeld and KOQ now spit out $14 rebates.)

***There are some other titles that are supposed to be represented on the banquet table that do not have rebates. For example, I noticed the Bill Murray Collection with Ghostbusters, Stripes, and Groundhog Day (slim cases) on sale for $9.99. (No MIR)

It looks like db27 is going to post the full list for you guys tonight because he's the man! I am unfortunately too lazy to do so.

Picked up seinfeld season 7, been waitin on a good price on that for a while.

Also picked up seasons 1 and 2 of rescue me. I've never seen it, but based on what I've heard, and at this price, seemed like a good blind buy.

Thanks a lot OP.

Picked up seasons 4-6 of Seinfeld and seasons 1-4 of Futurama. They had a list of all the titles eligible on the table right as you walked into the store. Thanks

As promised, here you go All of these are sale priced to equal $9.99 after rebate. You can get one of each on the same reciept, since they are part of the same promotion you will only submit a single rebate reciept. Go back to the store, have them exchange it for itself and the rebate should reprint. Not sure why it would have Sunday, but perhaps they just didn't stick it in your bag.

This is a chainwide sale that crosses the FYE, Coconuts, Suncoast, Sam Goody lines so it should NOT be an issue.

Ltrain, it might be worth copying that list into the first post. Also perhaps requesting mods change the title of the thread to $9.99 or something .
