There were others I wanted, but were not included in the B2G1F deal, like the Marx Brothers collection and Deadwood S3. Californication was also $5 cheaper at amazon, but it counted towards buying 2, while Dead Zone did not, so it was worthwhile anyway.

Yikes, so there is only one non-member coupon and it isn't good until tomorrow? Good old days are gone, huh?

I already have a B&N membership, so I don't think it's an option, and since it's only 25% off the highest price item, I saved more with membership discounts. Even if I could have done both, it would only have saved me another $1.75 anyway, so it's not really worth the trouble.

When I tested the non-member coupon yesterday it was working. I've noticed usually the coupons seem to get activated a day earlier than the date stated for the online codes. However it does say it is valid starting June 5, which is today. I also believe the paypal coupon would also work for non-members, as would the new account one. However lately the non-member and printable store coupons have become more scarce.

Used the Visa discount and took advantage of the B2G1 on box sets. BN.com actually had a decent price on the Muppet Show seasons. I bought 1-3 for 56 bucks which is a steal.

Thanks for the response. Their policy of discounting only the highest priced item has kept me from joining the membership with B&N. So much easier to just create a new account for me. For those with Gmail accounts, all you have to do is add "."s to your email or add "+" followed by any number. Received 2 of my orders today. However I had some floaters. One of the DVDs in the Tennessee Williams Film Collection was loose but fortunately no damage or scratches. But the other order I wasn't as fortunate. One of the DVDs in Deadwood Season 2 was loose and mildly scratched. Also looks like the button to release the disc from the case is broken. So the DVD will not even stay in place properly. Looks like I'll have to do an exchange. Hopefully my local store has one I can swap for it. I still have one more order but it is not due to ship until mid June since it was all pre-orders.

Could anyone tell me if their Deadwood Season 2 sounded like it had something moving around in it? I am wondering if it is a paper insert or a loose disk. I was gonna give it as a gift and dont want to open it. Thanks for any info. I see Lasermovies reported damage in that set so maybe this is a defect in the set.

My Deadwood S2 set has a small, stiff card inside which is advertising the Deadwood companion book. It makes a slight rattling sound if you shake the box, so that 'might' be it.

I should make a correction that the loose DVD was in the Season 3 set and not Season 2. I opened both sets and got them mixed up. There are some paper advertisements that were added to the sets that you might be hearing if you shake them. I thought another set had a loose disc but when I opened it everything was secure, and it turned out it was the paper ad for a companion book for Deadwood sliding around inside. The case with the loose ad actually sounded louder compared to the loose DVD. If you tilt the case end to end are you hearing noise like something is sliding inside the case? That is probably the ad. Season 3 also had an ad but it was larger in size, and was advertising other HBO DVDs available. The larger ad doesn't seem like it slides around very much in Season 3.

I tested both of them a few minutes ago with a book added to my cart and they seemed to work fine. I would suggest giving it another try to see what happens.

Hmm...after extensive testing, it appears to not work with the book I was ordering, 9780231143721 , but will work with other cheaper books.
