i took the $13.99 ad to cc after work on wednesday. by then, i knew that the website changed the price to $22.99.

the first employee said it should be $13.99 anyways instore. i said that's for the regular version. then he looked at the dvd and the pic in the ad and said it's a different copy. so i took the sleeve off and showed him the identical covers.

so he takes me to customer service and asks if they'll match it. the customer service girl was confused and said it should be $13.99 anyways...so i, once again, said that price is for the regular version, while also explaining that the pic in the ad is the same as the version underneath the sleeve.

she was gonna match it, but then decides to check online. this is when i knew i wasn't gonna make it. she prints the ad online and shows me that it's $22.99. then i asked if she can still match the price since i printed it from their website as well, and she says no. i understood and was gonna just leave since i had already bought a 2disc from best buy. then she says the reason is because i or someone must have doctored the ad and said it wasn't real. so i said it was the website that made the error and they must have just corrected it. she didn't believe me....

but good luck to the rest of you!

Thanks, alfredog1976! I took your screen shot down to my Circuit City today and went to the video department and simply asked if they could match the price on their own web site.
A few employees gathererd around the paper and said "What a good deal!" Then one told me he couldn't do it in the video department, but handed me the (three disc) set and told me that the service department would be glad to adjust the price, which is exactly what happened.
No muss, no fuss. Thanks again alfredog1976.

I went this afternoon to Circuit City w/ my Dad and we had no problems with the printout that Alfredog1976 provided. Got my lithograph and National Geographic Documentary also so I'm psyched. I liked Target's packaging the best but for this price, you just can't beat it. I also bought Superman II: The Richard Donner Cut @ Best Buy w/ a $5 off RZ coupon. I read an article saying its great to watch The Donner Cut followed by Superman Returns so I'm scheduling that for this week. Thanks again!
