got 24 season one for $19.90. Never saw the show but heard good things about it. I guess that price for 6 discs isn't bad.

Not bad at all.

The previous low price on this was during Frys.com's grand opening sale, when 24 Seasons 1-4 were sold in a bundle for $80.

But in the coming BF, Target is selling 24 season 1 for $16.00.

I did it 4 times. I set up 4 separate accounts using different email addresses (all aliases of my main account, actually) and different credit cards. I made all 4 of my purchases at the same online store. The only thing I noticed was that with each transaction you have to completely log off of the store site and log back on by following the link in the Google list of stores in order to prevent errors (presumably because as far as the site is concerned you're still logged on under the original GC account). Otherwise it worked like a charm. I'm gonna have to try it again tonight with some of my Mom's credit cards. Big thanks to the OP for the heads up!

Can someone recommend the best one of those 20th Century Fox film noir DVDs? They're like just over $10 on DVDempire.com

Laura is probably the best film and best disc. I'd also highly recommend Nightmare Alley and the other Preminger titles, Whirlpool, Fallen Angel and Where the Sidewalk Ends.

Yeah, I've only seen Nightmare Alley. It comes out to a good deal on one of them.

Thanks!

So I go to place an order at DVDEmpire. I hit the Google Checkout logo, and I get this:

You must use HTTP Basic Authentication for API calls (username=Seller ID, password=Merchant Key)

...? Tried it on Firefox and IE.

I've tried this repeatedly... I can't get it to work... And now I'm stuck with that CC on that account. I can delete it, but I can't add it to a new account. It looks like I'm SOL on that credit card...

See post #55. After you place your first order, go back to DVD Empire and log out completely and close out the window. Then go back to the Google Checkout main page and either set up a new account, or if you have an existing one that you haven't used the $10 Off award on yet, then open that. Then select DVD Empire from that list of stores again and place your new order. It's a few extra steps, but it clears away that error.

Gotta love my Discover w/virtual nos.!!! Brings back memories of days of past. sniff sniff

Only done it 4 times - all with virtual nos. Helps also to have extra hotmail accounts from days past.

Only one thing is bugging me - one of my 4 accts did not receieve any emails from google - nothing. Just a litle weird.

Posted this in the Fox TV/Buy.com/Google thread as well:

Picked up Family Guy, Vol. 3 for $12.42 shipped as a Christmas gift. Didn't mind paying $2.90 S&H + tax as I almost dropped $20 on this at CC on Sunday. Great price.

Buy.Com is annoying me. Trying to order the Ultimate Spider-Man Vol. 7 Hardcover from them with these deal. It shows up 'In Stock' on the page for it, but when you get it in the basket it says 'On Order', which means it's not eligible for Google Checkout.

If your email account allows it, just set up a bunch of temporary aliases. That way they all get routed to your regular account but read to everyone else as a separate address.

That happened to me on two of my orders as well. One of them eventually showed up in my inbox this morning and the other I just had to log onto the account and trigger the verification email manually. All 4 orders went through even without the verification notice, however, so you're probably okay.
