Just put in an order for the Get Backers S1 Thinpak as well. $22 is a good price even if i dont care for thinpaks.

Best Buy is killing me; ive got 925 (almost $20 in RZ certificates) pending points as of 10/15. Says it takes up to 30 days to go "posted". Then from what i understand, anyone who bought off of the website/instore kiosk between 10/14 & 10/21 will be getting an additional 500 points. My order information has yet to show (usually takes a week to update). Im hoping i entered my RZ info right...

Those $30 in certs would definately take a nice chunk off of some of the other clearanced anime i was planning to get.

Does Right Stuf always take 3 weeks to ship an order?

The 25 DVDs that I ordered, did not show on backorder or out of stock.

Did they say On Order From Manufacturer or Processing? They had a power outage a few weeks ago and some people's orders who were "Processing" got frozen. All you gotta do is call them and they'll get it going if thats what happened.

I didn't order either, but I believe somebody else in the thread ordered GetBackers. I've made two orders using this new Google coupon through Buy.com and haven't had any "handling" charge as of yet.

I ordered Petite Princess Yucie, Get Backers S1, and a bunch of the other ADV titles from buy.com through Google checkout and haven't gotten hit with a handling charge on any of them.

Try emailing or calling. Heard a few different stories where it shipped without a confirmation or the order getting put on hold by mistake.

Thanks(and thanks to Ndolger as well). I was placing my order directly through buy.com because I have a store credit that I cannot use through the Google wallet. For some unknown reason, buy.com is adding a handling charge if you order directly from them.

Noticed that Cyborg 009 (2 disc, unedited version) shows as being back in stock at DDD for $3.99:

Also noticed that Orphen II Complete Collections is showing up for $14 used at DVDPlanet:

Thanks, updated.

As for Orphen II, I probably wouldn't even buy it if that were the new price... I don't have time to devote to shows that are way mediocre (not anymore, which is why I'm only trying to buy stuff I REALLY want), and while the first few episodes of Orphen were okay, it was a less than stellar series IMO. Not something I'd ever watch again, so I can't even imagine watching the second series. A good price if you've got the time to spare, though. Maybe.

Wow, Cyborg 009 for $4? Granted, it wasn't the greatest series, but for $4...
Is this the complete series?

That show makes me remember the old days of Adult Swim with Kikaider and Trigun. I really wish I had cable again. =/

Oops! Well, I probably was a bit harsh... Hopefully you'll find it more enjoyable than I did. I haven't even seen the second series, so maybe it's better than the first. I'm not saying no one should buy it, just that I wouldn't exactly recommend it, either.

I watched the first series, but havent watched the 2nd yet. Figured for $10~ it wouldnt be that big of a deal even if the 2nd one is crap. I usually try to watch the entire series of something before passing judgement. My tastes also vary alot, there are some series i love that people hate, and some series i hate that people love (I think that the entire Gundam franchise is complete crap).

Everyone has their own opinons, so i dont let it bother me if someone says a series is crap.

If you try to pass judgement only after watching a whole series, then obviously you never finished watching a whole Gundam series? =D

The only relatively "bad' Gundam I've seen is G-Gundam, and even then I can still get enjoyment out of that. Gundam Wing is just freakin' awesome.

Cyborg 009 is not the complete series, but it is a good chunk of episodes... unfortunately, at this point I doubt they'll ever release another volume of this.

Just got back from FYE -- it looks like they're running another 50% off sale on selected items again. As best as I can tell, it seems like it's mostly Anime Works titles.

Saw:
Nana 7 of 7 Collection - $19.99
Grenadier Perfect Collection - $24.99

There were a few other titles that I can't remember at the moment.

Update -- 2 other things I remembered:
Genshiken vol 1 w/ box - $17.49
At least one of the individual volumes of Nana 7 of 7 was $14.99, but somehow it didn't seem worth bothering with when the complete collection was only $19.99.

New ADV sale is up. Not much that isn't cheaper elsewhere.

A few things that seemed like ok prices (not sure how much shipping would ruin the prices, though):
Blue Seed Complete Collection - $24
Rune Soldier Complete Collection - $20
Spriggan The Motion Picture: Special Edition - $8

Super Dupo Sumos v. 6 is $4 -- perhaps a deal for anyone who ordered 1-5 from RightStuf for $2 each?

Super Milk-Chan v1-4 - $6 each.

Yugo The Negotiator v1-4 - $6 each.

Also note that the new RightStuf sale is 40% off Funimation titles

Another ADV Sale.
This time they have an awesome deal on the Cromartie High School Complete Collection. It regularly retails for $44.98, but now it can be yours for the low, low price of only $50.00!

The ADV Sale has a good price on Peacemaker: Complete Collection ($36). But the $9 shipping charge kinda kills the deal.

You noticed that too, huh? I contacted their CS department regarding that. I'm curious what the sale price is supposed to be.

Not sure if the series is any good, but Legend of the Dragon Kings Complete Collection is $15.99 new at wherehouse.com:
http://www.wherehouse.com/movies/pro...jsp?id=2385916

They also have free shipping at the moment with the coupon FREESHIP11

I'd tried ordering a copy during the 30% off sale and got an e-mail that it was out of stock -- tried again with the free shipping coupon and just got the shipping notice this morning.

ADV has always been weird with their clearances. Seems that they raise their prices for some of the items (if you're trying to get rid of something, you dont raise the price and expect it to sell more). They also seem to like to put the LE versions of some dvds for less than the regular. I know its probably an overstock thing, but really, why would anyone want to purchase the regular for more than the Limited Ed.
