A lot of those "sale" prices are more than what you'd spend at DDD. Doesn't BB.com charge shipping now, too?

Actually, their price for Naked Lunch is $2 cheaper than DVDPlanet's. But then shipping and tax brings it less than a dollar more than DVDPlanet's! lol. You might find something good here. If you have gift cards it's the way to go.

It is also good if you can find a disc that is in stock at your local store, so you only pay tax. For those of us who, occasionally, would like instant-ish gratification

Huh?

On topic, I don't see anything so far that can't be found cheaper.

It was a great deal when they had their 10% off coupon going around. I got Seven Samurai 3 Disk, Kagemusha, and Ugetsu for $80.xx

On topic, I think that this is what PopcornTreeCt was referring to: http://forum.dvdtalk.com/showthread.php?t=476518

Anyway, that thread states that the sale ends on 9/9, which it clearly does not. Like I said, if you don't necessarily want to mail order, you can pick it up at the store if you pay online for certain titles and avoid shipping charges. Thats worth spending an extra 50 cents to me, besides, you can get Ran for $23, which is a pretty damned good deal.

That wasn't directed at you. But since you've responded:

Plus tax. And, yes, it- along with Short Cuts- is one of the better deals, but it can also be had for the exact same price at Amazon.com which except in Kansas, Kentucky, North Dakota, or Washington doesn't charge tax. Shipping would be free if you purchase another item.

Regardless, I didn't intend for that comment to come off as directed at you. People re-post bargins. It happens.

Models is not a Criterion title and the other 3 go for about that price everywhere since their retail price is $14.99.
