Has there been any word on whether or not there will be a true package of the Season 2 of Battlestar? That's the only thing holding me back on buying them.

I already had 2.0, so preordering 2.5 during this sale was a no-brainer for me.

Last week, Best Buy had four seasons of Northern Exposure for $20 each. Too bad you missed it, but consider it a heads up if you want to wait for the possibility of that sort of deal coming around again.
They have this sale every six months or so and I am pretty sure when Season 5 comes out, Seasons 1-4 will be under $20... I purchased seasons 1&2 for ($17.xx each) when season three came out, and picked up season 4 for $18.xx last week... I learned my lesson with season 3 (which i paid $35.xx)

Ugh, that sucks.
I really want it now...
But oh well, I guess 30 bucks is too much for S1 and S2 from DDD.
Is it?
Oh well, only a few months until November 14.
Thanks for the heads up then...I'll wait.

Considering picking up Season 1 of Alfred Hitchcock presents, but have heard very negative things about playback. Is it worth it?

The next time Best Buy has this sale... go to Circuit City with the ad. They'll price match plus give you 10% of the difference and Circuit City's normal price is $50, or $17 each if Best Buy's sale price is $19.99.

Personally, I'm at the point where it's very rare that I pay more than $20 for a season of anything and it's rare when I pay more than $10 for a single movie.

It looks like DVD Planet is having the same sale. The URL is http://dvdplanet.com/unitv.cfm , but there are no DVDs on the page yet. They appear to be in the process of setting it up.

Already posted. Looks like they took the sale down actually. Was working fine yesterday. But I'm sure they will fix it. Prices are higher than DDD though except a few.

Where was it posted? (and remember there are coupons for DVDPlanet, that is the game they play)

It sort of popped up in the Buy 1 get 1 (BOGO) DDD thread:

http://forum.dvdtalk.com/showpost.ph...9&postcount=23

I had cut and pasted the DVDs from both DDD and DVDPlanet into a word processor at one point to compare them, but DDD was a few dollars cheaper on nearly every item. The only exception that comes to mind is the Fright Pack series - DVDPlanet had them for $17.99 while DDD is at $20.99.

The one nice thing about DVDPlanet's site was that the entire sale was on one page while at DDD it was on three different pages (thus you had to flip between pages).

Picked up Knight Rider S2 for $15. Wasn't really planning on continuing this show since I found it really hasn't held up as well as other 80's shows, but for that price I''ll get it. Too bad the S3-4 aren't the same price.

Mine set plays perfectly. I bought during last November's DDD 20% sale. Astounding quality for 1955 television...you won't be disappointed.

Any pre-orders I've ever made have arrived by release day, only one has arrived the day after.

Going to order Battlestar Galactica 2.5 since i can't see BB, CC etc. coming anywhere close to this price.
I was going to wait incase 2.5 was the one that was coming to HD DVD, but since Universal refuses to say which season it is i just said fuck it.

that's fantastic! just ordered the office: season 2, you can't beat that price, especially because in PA there's also sales tax to consider.

I feel it is.
Well, except for the DVDs being DVD-18s (flippers) and the atrocious airing order they put them out in--which doesn't work too well with a show that has continuity.
But, since it's unlikely to ever be corrected, I'll say it's a heavily flawed release of a great series.

I was going to hold out for the HD-DVD version of BSG, but damn if this isn't a great price. Darn you, OP!

Thanks for the heads-up.

I want to let people know that Heath Ledger's show Roar makes a good blind buy.....very good adventure series with nice photography and above average acting. Its definitely worth the 22 bucks.
