Saw the 2-disc Inglorious Bastards. Have it on Blu-ray, so past.
Was it the 70s film, or was it the Tarantino "Basterds"? If so, how much for it as well as the He-Man set?

Thanks in advance.

Re: DVDs at Ross - Dress for Less!

It was the Tarantino version. I didn't check the price of Bastards, but it's should be in the range of $4.99-$6.99. He-Man was $7.99.

Re: DVDs at Ross - Dress for Less!

Went to the downtown SF Ross and found the 2 disc Rush Hour 3 (no slip cover). 2 disc All The President's Men (I've seen this there like a year or so ago), more Snakes On A Plane (all for 3.99 each), a Matrix bundled 3 pack for 9.99 (it isn't the 10 disc boxed set like I saw earlier this year for the same price).

Also saw a bunch of A Perfect Getaway dvds. But I forget the price.

While speaking of high quality films like the Dukes of Hazzard movies, does anyone know if the Dukes of Hazzard double feature (called The Hog-Wild Edition) for $3.99 is a single DVD-18 (double side/dual layer) which is 100% identical in content to the 2 separate DVD-9 Unrated widescreen releases?

I couldn't find anything on Google. Amazon had no reviews on the double feature (showing how popular it is) and DVD Empire's layer info shows DS/SL which cannot be true if the special features listed on the back cover are accurate.

Re: DVDs at Ross - Dress for Less!

Very nice.

Found "The Rat Pack: Ultimate Collector's Edition" for $9.99.

It's been a long while since I found a box set there. Just a slight slash on the side, so little you have to examine it to see it.

And all the discs mint. This is a blind buy, I hope I like it.

I haven't watched and compared it. But happened to have access to the PG-13 version and was able to compare the extras listings on both backings (at least for The Dukes Of Hazzard) and as far as content, most everything matched, aside from the ratings differences.

Re: DVDs at Ross - Dress for Less!

I was visiting my daughter in Eugene, OR (Go Ducks!) over the weekend. We stopped in at a Ross and I bought the only Casablanca set they had. I already have the BD, so I mainly bought it for the extras. However the set has two copies of the Bonus Disc (Jack Warner: The Last Mogul) and doesn't have the Special Features Disc. It does look like the listed Special Features are on the BD that I have, so technically I'm not missing them, but it would be nice to get the missing disc if I ever decide to sell just the DVD set.

Does this sound like something that I can contact Warner Bros. about and have them send me the missing disc? Thanks.

Picked this one up, too. Very nice set.

Just a heads-up on the ROTK giftset...I didn't notice that it wasn't the extended edition until getting home (it wasn't sealed in plastic & there was no description on the box). As another poster noted, it's the two-disc SE...plus, there is a separate disc devoted to the music. Still a nice set for $9.99, but I was disappointed that the EE wasn't included.

I have seen both prices here, almost bought one at $7.99 a few backs but I decided not to as it was pretty beat up.

Re: DVDs at Ross - Dress for Less!

Hit the local Ross for the first time in a couple weeks. Several new titles, but a disturbing higher price trend. Here's what I found of note:

2 copies Sinatra box $14.99
James Stewart 2 disc box W Glenn Miller story $14.99
Gangster Box $19.99 (Amazon has it for $17.49)
March Of The Penguins gift set $5.99 (would have bought this but packaging was beat up)
TCM 4 film comedy $4.99 (Arsenic & Old Lace, Night At The Opera) (Was going to buy this, but the line was too long for a set I didn't want all that badly)
