Criterions at Costco

I was just at the Costco in Issaquah, WA this morning and was surprised to find that there was a box of Criterions. The ones I saw were Traffic, My Own Private Idaho, Gimme Shelter, Dazed & Confused, and Hoop Dreams. The first four were $24.99, I don't recall how much Hoop Dreams was. Not the greatest deal, but decent if those are titles you are anxious to get and not willing to wait for the next DDD sale for.

That is a good price for Gimme Shelter. I have never seen a Criterion other that the Royal Tenembaums, Chasing Amy and the Life Aquatic at costco, so if this true, then it is a big, pleasant surprise.

My Costco has those, too, as well as "The Man Who Fell to Earth".

Our Costco had all of the above plus Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.

I'll have to be on the lookout for that.

I was going to post this yesterday, but something happened and all my info was deleted. I haven't had time since to type up a list of the Criterions, etc.

First time I have ever seen Criterions being offered at my Costco outside of the popular/recent titles like Life Aquatic or Royal Tennenbaums.

At my Costco they had:

Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas
My Own Private Idaho
The Man Who Fell To Earth
Dazed and Confused
Traffic
Hoop Dreams
this one Rolling Stones concert/documentary
and one other Criterion I don't remember

I already own Traffic, but I picked up the first four off of my list. At $25 it was a pretty good price to own Fear and Loathing.

Man, my Costco gets these things in late. Guess I'll have to check it later as I've been contemplating getting Fear and Loathing.

I'd love to financially support the notion of Costco carrying Criterions, but I have most of those that I want. I hope they get more, though!

I checked two near me today, and they had no Criterions.

Alas, no Criterions at my Costco. Too bad, since I'm now thinking about upgrading my old "Man Who Fell to Earth". Hopefully they get it soon.

My Costco, did however get in all 3 season sets of the original Star Trek series for $45 each. Not bad!

Nothing in Kirkland. The DVD area in this store seems to be shrinking. Issaquah must have a better DVD spending demographic.

You know, i've noticed that the Costco I normally go to has been shrinking the dvd area as well. Where it used to take up one full isle back and front, it now takes up half of each side of that same isle. I was thinking that it was a seasonal thing, but i've been going to that Costco for a while, and it just started shrinking.
