Well I would say Amazon. They have it for $37.99. You don't pay sales tax, you get free shipping, and if you do the A9 thingy you save a extra 1.57%. So my total came out to $37.39.

Best Buy & CC have it for $37.99 this week. Target has it for $39.99.

I think every store gets the same set, so no worries on missing special discs or anything.

Bay Area folks can pick it up at Fry's for $34.99 in store. This will likely extend to all other B&M locations on Friday.

Don't forget trying to get it into your gold box by searching for that title on amazon.com and putting it on your wishlist. Seems to help and if you get it in there, you'll save a few bucks.

I'm working on getting Smallville season 5 in mine. Already have gotten Supernatural S1 and Lost S2 to be offered.

1 more to go...

Thanks for the prices. I'll probably go with amazon but I've got to go to Walmart so I guess I'll check what they have to offer.

If you don't mind FYE rebates, they have it for $39.99 - $10 rebate online. I'm going to see what the price is instore later today so I'll post what I find out. Please also post the wal-mart price if you can since I'm close to that as well.

Note that BBY has S1 for $20 just one year after release. Since I've seen the show, I've got no problem waiting a year for S2 to hit $20 (or less) too.

Curious that they have a rebate online, but not in stores? It's usually the same for both. It's $39.99 instore, and if you have their Backstage Pass, it's only $35.99, which is what I got it for.

They haven't been really been consistent across web and B&M, esp. for new releases for a while now. I was hoping the backstage pass would bring it a bit closer to the post-rebate price. Looks like it's a web order for me.

Last night, Walmart's price was $42.88, blah. Although they do have season 1 for the 19.99 everyday price if anyone hasn't picked that up yet.

I got my copy at Target for 34.99. Of course I also got House Season 2 and that came with a $5 gift card which I used to get Veronica Mars.

This is currently only in the San Jose and Sacramento Fry's... though I'm hoping that Friday's LA ad has it for this price.
