Call me crazy, but I fail to see the benefit of "translating" English into English... other than the obvious one, of course, of being haughty and attempting to show some kind of superior intellect.

Order # - Ship Date - Received (Receive Date Range)
1 - 6/09 - 6/19 (6/18-6/23)
2 - 6/13 - 6/24 (6/22-6/27)
3 - 6/16 - NR (6/25-6/30)
4 - 6/16 - 6/24 (6/25-6/30)
5 - 6/17 - NR (6/26-7/01)
6 - 6/19 - NR (6/27-7/02)

One floater but any minor scratches were on the standard version data side... Thankfully, widescreen side had none at all

"Wherefore" means "Why," not "Where." In Romeo + Juliet, when Juliet asks, "Wherefore art thou, Romeo," she's not checking his location, but inquiring why he has to be named Romeo and thus a member of the hated Montague clan.

Mind, this isn't a grammar forum so the correction may have been unwarranted, but it was certainly not wrong.

Shipment 3 and 4 came today. They even packaged one of my single dvd orders in to shipment 4 so that was a good deal. Now all I'm waiting on is my backordered stuff. Yay.

I enjoyed Time and tide's post. Sure we could have just let that pass without comment but I think we collectively shared a laugh, learned how to love again, and maybe, if we weren't careful, learned a little something in the process.

Huzzah!

I see Primal Fear. I still can't believe after 7+ years it still hasn't been reissued. Congrats to you though on acquiring a fine film.

Waiting on the 1080 Oskar shelving unit. Ordered it on 6/8/06 and was supposed to ship on 6/18/06. This happens every sale with this item but it's still annoying. Now i'm holding out hope that it will show up before the 4th of july.

Is everyone still waiting on Dazed and Confused to get back in stock?

Other than the time until orders ship, actual delivery times are out of DDD control. USPS Media Mail can take anywhere up to 21 business days so until that point there is nothing to be concerned about. Media Mail is typically between 4-14 business days though but there are no guarantees.
Well, one of my orders apparently showed up yesterday. I found 3 of my DVDs sitting on the radiator on the entrance to my building... and the box was later discovered in the trashcan outside, packing slip and everything.

the kicker? I was HOME when we got the mail, and received a package for my roommate, of DDD stuff. So they obviously either forgot about mine until later, or left it OUTSIDE the building, or gave it to the wrong apt. The person who received it must have opened it and then instead of being polite and bringing them to me... LEFT them right outside the building. They could have been taken by ANYONE. I found them at 10PM when I went out for a snack. Medium:season 1 and Dead zone: season 4 are all dented up. RIDICULOUS. Anyone else have such a bizarre situation happen to them? Should I take this up with my post office?

One of my orders was delivered to a neighbor by mistake last year. Was a small order of 3 DVDs. A few days later, the neighbor came to my door and asked me if I was waiting on some DVDs ordered, I said yes. Then the neighbor asked me which DVDs, I told him and then he said that they were delivered to him by mistake and he was just checking that I knew which ones to make sure it was really me. Whatever. That reallly didn't explain why he opened the package and watched all of the DVDs. He said that he hoped I didn't mind that he watched them.

I guess I could have reported him to the post office since messing with the mail is a federal crime, but I think if they deliver mail to your house you can pretty much do with it as you want, you really don't have a duty to correct the post office's mistakes and deliver mail correctly. It was only a couple of DVDs for me and I got them in good (but not new) condition so I didn't put up a fight.

Yes, my order says it should ship 6/27. Just waiting on that and Batman vs. Dracula.

Oh man that would have qualified for an ass kicking from me. At least you should have chewed him out about watching the movies. Jeez some people in this world.

This is the reason I am so concerned about my first order which has yet to arrive. The 2nd order was small enough that the mail-person was able to put it in the mailbox. I have never had any issues before with stuff being left on my porch, but with everyone out of or home from school and my new, seedy neighbors, I fear that day will soon come.

So far, 10 days and counting since my first order shipped ... and as I previously mentioned, I only live about 40 minutes (25 miles) from DDD in Illinois.

This is also the reason why I think that tracking information is so valuable these days. I would gladly pay an extra 60 cents for Delivery confirmation, especially if the online store is covering the rest of the shipping charges.

That's pretty bold of the guy. How'd he know they weren't gifts for someone?

Yeah, then I would have really been pissed. I mean I was pissed anyway, but I wasn't really going to confront him. If he was crazy enough to do that, I wasn't going to screw around. Plus he knew where I lived but I didn't know where he lived, didn't want psycho guy bothering me ever again.

I probably would have confronted someone if the same was done to a larger order, or something cool like my ape head or unsolved mysteries box.

I'm sorry, but I can't help but to laugh at that. It's just so freakin' absurd and unbelievable. It's like something you'd see in an outlandish comedy flick.

I doubt that I would have been as understanding and forgiving as you.

um, does that matter AT ALL?? who cares if the guy who bought them watned them for coasters. he paid for them.

its clear the asshole who opened them knew they were someone elses and then he has the nerve to ask if he minds? he should have said "i thought i got an order from my wife and opened it up but later realized these werent ours at all! very sorry and ill pay you for them" sure its a bs reply but its the honest thing to do at that point.
