Good news about Dollar General though. Lots of stuff I want from that list. I've got five in my area I'll hopefully try and post what I find. Assuming they got them in. My area normally takes a long time to stock these things. |
Mine has shipped at the "special" price. I suspect DVD Pacific received a shipment of x number at the highly discounted price and those that got in first got it at that price. The remainder then went back to the normal after sale price when stock came in after the sale. Nothing too wrong with that. We all miss out on bargains at times when others are lucky enough to get. Just need to be quick.

Well, I do think there is something wrong with that... If someone orders something a X price, it's not okay to charge them a different price retroactively. I mean, the person probably wouldn't have ordered the item in the first place if he/she didn't think he/she would get it for that price. It's not like he/she ordered it at that price AFTER the sale was over, unless I'm mistaken... And if so, how? If the sale is over, the price should return to normal. Maybe I'm completely missing something here.

SBJ - I was surprised to find anything at my local Dollar General, but the stuff at mine seemed to be different from the stuff reported so far. I'd really like to get my hands on a few of the other reported DVDs. And thank you with regards to WR Vol. 4. :) |
I stopped by my local Dollar General, and all they had was exactly one volume of Tenchi in Tokyo and one volume of Big O II, both dated from last July. I also checked out my local Big Lots on a tip from another thread, and they had absolutely nil.
What gives? I know, YMMV and all that. Still, when I read what people are finding in their area stores, I sometimes wonder if I got stuck with the bottom performers of both chains. :grumble: |

Very, very sleazy these DVDpacific people are. I was assured that my order would be changed back after an email to them a few days ago. And now it's been shipped and I've been billed $28.75! Unbelievable! Regardless or whether or not this gets resolved in my favor, I refuse to ever shop from this shitty company ever again. I'm sorry, but I don't have $13 to waste at the moment.
