I just tore it up at my Borders. They had the 3 for 2 sale and I got 3 criterions-- Ran, Wages of Fear, and Pickpocket all for $42!

I'm surprised the $10 off 40 coupon worked. Great prices regardless, Ran was 22.99!

does the $10 off $40 apply to the 4 titles before 1 is counted free, ie. can it only be used if the 3 titles you pay for amount to $40?

4 for 3 in Tallahassee. Congrats to those who have stores running the B2G1F promo.

Tried for the second box, and that was full price. Looks to be only Vol. 1. Oh well, it's still half off what i was expecting to pay for it.

Funny thing is none of the Criterion or Warner Sets DVDs are on sale on any Borders in Puerto Rico and that when i tried to use the $10 off $40 coupon with the buy 3 get 4th free in one of the stores, the dickhead manager told me that I couldn't and we had a pretty nasty shouting discussion after even though I had done it before in all the 3 stores on the island.

I don't know how they can deny that coupon. I just showed it to the guy working the DVD section, he looked it over, and said there's no reason it shouldn't work, it clearly says "not with other coupons" not "other deals". And I didn't run into a problem. Generally if you ask them about it when you check out, and have a big stack of DVDs in your hand - they shouldn't have a problem, and it's always fun (well, almost) to leave a big stack of $50-80+ DVDs sitting on the counter that won't get sold. But your right, the manager was just a "dickhead" - good call.

I presented the coupon and I was asked, "isn't the four for three deal good enough for you?" I said no and then the cashier shrugged and scanned the coupon. I had the same exeperience around this time last year.

I'll have to check my Borders for the Film Noir set or Criterion sales. These markdowns seem to be YMMV so you never know what you may find.

so i can print out the coupon and it will work fine, because i don't have the best printer and thought the code might not turn out very well.

should work fine. Many titles mentioned have not been price tagged. So just ask them to check if its on sale beforehand.

The one I used didn't come out so great either, they tried to scan the barcode, but it didn't scan - but then they just type in the number, and it works. So as long as you can read the number, you should be good.

The DFW area stores I checked today had 3-for-4 and had the warner sets at $39.99. However, they did take my $10 off coupon along with my 3-for-4 discs.
