Blackadder Collector's set drops by $15 at Deep Discount

Lukewarm for the moment, but gets better. During the last DDD 20% off sale, this was $89.99, making it $71.99 after discount. The new price of $74.99 means that it will be $59.99 during the next sale (should be mid to end November). Definitely a good price for a funny set.

Do not expect any prices to remain the same for the 20% off sale.

My remark was meant to be taken as advice- if you see a good deal at DDD, you should take advantage while it's available. Last time around they raised prices on many items before the sale.

Bobbin, do you have anything constructive to add to the thread?

Actually, it was last year's sale that they raised prices, I believe. During the last summer sale, I believe all prices stayed the same.

No, there were some that raised. Sopranos Season 5 for example. Prices on catalog titles were relatively stable though. Many of the recent sales put are the same as the coupon, so as mentioned, waiting is not always the right move. On this one I will wait since it is a pretty low priority and take my chances.

OK, in checking around at other locations, the set underwent a price drop 9 days ago. Amazon.com has it at $74.99 and Buy.com has it at 69.98, both with release dates of Sept 13 2005. So I'd guess that the price will not go up come the next DDD sale. Comparing it with something like Sopranos season 5 is a little off, as Sopranos S5 came out just a few weeks before the last DDD sale, and even if the price was raised the cost after 20% was still damned good.

Isnt this due a re-release in England with 6 discs instead of 5 (so looks like it will contain all the R1's extras)?
