I highly doubt it because I would think that by now, at least 90% of the stores are aware of the misprices. But as the topic says - YMMV.

Wow.. I would have picked up Laguna Beach had I known it was ringing up at $5.99. I figured since it just came out recently that it would definitely NOT be at $5.99. Maybe I'll go back and check after work. This definitely must have been a price mistake to have fairly new dvd sets going for $5.99.

WB isn't losing any money because of Target's misprice, right? Target buys from its distributor and whatever price they choose to sell it at is their choice. WB should already have their money for the product.
WB isn't losing money but Target sure as hell ain't buying from a distributor. Target is way too big of a company to not buy directly from WB.

That's funny. You were quite methodical. I was searching specifically for Looney Tunes 2 and found an empty shelf, and then I saw you price-checking the very item I had my eye on. I saw the $49.99 price come up and pretty much gave up right then. Glad to hear you were successful at another store. The swap meet sounds like a good idea.

Where would BoB and Looney Tunes be located? I got a few Friends and Sex and the City's but looked around for abouit 20 minutes and couldn't find either. Also, I think I mentioned something like "gettin' the old Christmas shopping done early" to avoid suspicion. The cashier didn't care. A few didn't register and he asked me how much they were and I told him the same as the others. He just grabbed another one and scanned it twice. Then as I was leaving the security things went off and I thought for a second to just take off running, but stood there for a minute, looked around and left. Good stuff.

The shelves at the Rowland Hgts., CA store were re-stocked, but everything rang up at regular price.

I did manage to snag the last copy of Jaws for $5.99 though, so I left happy. =D

I believe even the big stores purchase through a distributor. I would expect them to be buying from Ingram but I don't see their name on the list of "Leading Customers".

I went to one of them and as I was giving the money the manager came and told me that they can't sell that stuff. I gave him the old "customer is always right" routine and no dice. So we all lost -- I had 3 BoB for you guys.

My fiance and I went out early this morning and went to Jersey. One store had everything ringing up at regular price and the other one had only one set ringing up at $5.99 and that was Newsradio, so we got it.

Then we went back to my Target in Brooklyn...they restocked and everything was still $5.99 (even the restocked items), so they didn't catch on to anything yet. We picked up

Monk Season 3 $5.99
The Pretender Season 1 $5.99
Spongebob Season 1 $5.99
Spongebob Season 2 $5.99

The cashier didn't think anything of it and this is about our 6th or 7th purchase.

Pittsburgh, PA ~ Waterfront location

I scanned several friends, sex and the city and random others. Everything scanned full price, then I saw 3rd Rock from the Sun sitting on the shelf with no price tag, so I grabbed it and scanned it. It scanned at $5.99, so I kept the one in my hand and went and checked out! When I left, there were two copies left!

Went to the North Hollywood Target on Vineland & Victory. Found Macguyver, Newsradio and Murder She Wrote for $5.99. Took them to the cashier and they refused to sell them to me. I told them they had to honor the price and they cant refuse a customer. They still would not sell them to me

Went to 4 targets in Vegas last night. Denied at all. Missed out on this deal because I was too busy trying to decide whether or not to buy the 61" dlp on woot.

Congrats to all of you, fantastic deal!

Now this is bad luck. I just went to another Target and they had "Joan Of Arcadia" and "Jaws 30th Anniversary" they both scanned for $5.99. Man
I was excited so I rushed to check out and guess what? They both scanned
for retailed price! In that small amount of time they had corrected their error. I think by the end of the day this deal will be dead if not sooner. I also noticed the managers were VERY observant of every thing that was being scanned by customers. Oh well I was successful yesterday so I'm happy.

Anyone in the whole state of Florida get in on this?? Unless I missed a post, I haven't seen anyone south of Tallahasse mention scoring. I am 0 for 3 in the Ft. Lauderdale area.

I had to go back to the Fairfield, NJ store again today to get diapers, formula, etc. so I decided to scan a few more sets that I didnt try yesterday. I managed to score Moonlighting and Mary Poppins for $5.99. Looney Tunes, Spongebob Seasons 1 & 2, Pocahantas, Fantastic Four and a few others all scanned at the full price. I wasnt really interested in Moonlighting but considering it normally sells for $34.99 I figured I would pick it up. I did notice I was being watched closely as I scanned the multiple DVDs. The same employee walked by very slowly at least three times.

I'm in Orlando and scored pretty big at one store yesterday. I heard there was also at least one other store in Orlando that had 'em.. Also, some people in Orange Park and Jacksonville (I believe?) got in on this as well.

Just picked up the Fantastic Four cartoon boxset for $5.99 in Richardson, TX (at approximately 12pm on Aug 10). Thanks, OP! They had every title mentioned here sitting on the shelves, but the only other title I wanted was Hogan's Heroes -- but it scanned at $29.99. Didn't scan any others. Very happy to get FF at this price!

I hit all the Targets in Raleigh-Durham yesterday, out of 10 stores, 2 had the deal, The Garner store and the Triangle Town Center mall store. There was still quite a few in stock after I left last night. However, nobody had BoB the one I wanted most. Im going to see if they restocked today. Anyone know of any Charlotte stores? I have a friend there who wants to get a few

Scored today in two locations in miami,fl area. Managed to get two copys of Batman TAS :Vol 3 and FRIENDS Season 6 and 9 ...5.99. I did notice that the dvd section in general had some minor security and snoopage, but i played it dumb and became friendly with the cashier. the one in Miramar,FL seemed to have casught on cuz thier was a cart with tons of box sets in them as though that had been removed from people. And the one in Pembroke Pines, Fl didnt seem to have caught on, but was missing lots and lots of sets.

im so glad i got some!
