Ridiculously Cheap DVD sets @ Target YMMV
 

Found these at the Target in Belton, MO. I bought a ton of Dvd's and when I went back to get more, the signs were down for clearance. I'm posting a receipt scan just in case you all can get the same deal at your store. I'll have to get my mom's receipt but she also got Friends seasons 1-9 and Sex in the City sets 1-6 all for 5.99 too.

Yet again..... YMMV, or ability to persuade.

Oh, you might want to get a permanent host for the image too... all I could find.

None of these things happen at my local Target - about the only time I go is to investigate things like this. But I'll be sure to stop while I make the rounds tomorrow.

OP - how exactly were they marked? Regular prices listed, display signs, etc..?

anyone have any prior experience getting target to match a "photocopy" of a reciept like this?

if there is even a minor chance of it happening... i am so going to target... after target, and target again lol...

Wow. Not likely to find these prices at many other Targets. And Jon, I highly doubt you'll get any Target manager to match the receipt. They are pretty strict when it comes to stuff like that. I still can't believe those prices though, especially on Band of Brothers, what a deal.

Would you be interested in parting with the Sex and the City or Band of Brothers sets?

Amazing prices. It sounds like it is an error in that one store. But I will look at my store tonight.

These prices were almost put up at the store I work at too, but we got word that it was a mistake. Corporate is aware of it and many of the sets were already scanning back at their regular price by the time I left work.

Wow, what the heck. Maybe I'll make a run to Target to check, but I doubt I'll find anything. Is this a new Target?

My local target no longer carry any items in the receipt :(

I'm gonna take a guess and say that store in MO is the only one in the universe that had those for that price.

So as soon as I read another poster got the deal I drove to the nearest target. It must be fixed at this point because the price checker gave me the correct prices (marked prices) on Band of Brother, Looney Tunes 1 and 2, Friends, and the OC. This is at the Target store on Victory and Vineland and then I checked the Burbank target and had the same amount of no luck.

Same for me in Gainesville, Fl. At about 7:15 pm, I price checked Band of Brothers, OC, Friends, Jaws, and Sex and the City. All came up as marked. Oh well. good find, O.P. Wish i read this post earlier. Damn studying for the MPRE!

No dice in Ft. Lauderdale either.

Normal target and it's not new.

no go at a normal target in Kenosha, WI. Tore myself away from a pitcher of margaritas, eh would have been worth it.

Looking for a Band of Brothers set and Looney Tunes 1 & 2

I just got back from the Target in Houston Tx on 290, I was hopin for Band of Brothers and The oc. But they didn't scan 5.99. But I did get Looney Tunes collection Vol 1 and 2 and Batman the animated series Vol 3 for 5.99.I scanned almost every tv show dvd but thats all that rang up at 5.99. And luckily for my mother I found 8 seasons of Little House on the Prarie and they all rang up 5.99. I also went to the other Target near by on 529, but none of the 5.99 shows rang up. Tried Band of Brothers, Jaws and Macgyvers in Nashua, NH around 7:45pm--no such luck.

Wow, this is ridiculous. I don't have access to a Target right now, but with those prices, I just sent my grandma out to her local Target to check for me. It may be a waste of her time, but if it pays off, wow.

It's odd that this would work at some targets and not others. Isn't their pricing structure (what would be in the price checkers) a nation-wide thing?

Just got back from the one in Centerville, Ohio. Most of the ones listed in this thread that they had scanned at $5.99, except the Looney Toons. Those scanned at regular price.

I just just got two copies of Band of Brothers in Mission Viejo. I went back to get the rest and the lady who had been at my register was taking them off the shelves. So if you're reading this now you should go check yours.

No go after trying a miscellaneous assortment of the ones OP and others had. Half a gallon of gas down the tubes. Rochester NY (Victor store). I tried the scanner - if the register WOULD have rung them up I will croak....

No go at the Van Nuys (Sepulveda/Burbank) store. I must have checked every TV set in the store: Little House, Northern Exp., Gilmore, Band of Bro., Looney Tunes, etc. No go on any title.

If anyone is near the Burbank store (Victory Pl/Empire rd) they might want to check again. when I went earlier I only scanned Looney Tunes.
