Hit my local Target (Shreveport, LA - Youree Dr) on my way home from work and snagged:
Gilmore Girls S1-3 (2 cys ea left)
The L Word S1 (1cy left)
Moonlighting S1&2 (2 cys left)
Newsradio S1&2 (3cy left)
3rd Rock from the Sun (3 cys left)

SatC & Friends were being grabbed by another DVDTalk reader - She only left a few on the shelf
No luck finding BoB, MacGyver, OC, One Tree Hill, Monk, or Hogan's Heroes

If anyone is in the Shreveport area you better run to pick over what's left!

I just finished a run of 6 stores in the Orange County, CA region; none appear to be involved in this. This includes Anaheim, Cypress, Fullerton, Westminster, Brookhurst and Garden Grove Harbor.
Hopefully that saves someone some footwork.

I went to a Target on Vineland in Sun Valley, CA. Scanned Macguyver S1 and it came up 5.99 which gave me some hope that the rest of the other titles would ring up. But alas they didn't. Everyone enjoy your dvds. This is the best deal of the year.

Has anyone been to a Target that had deals yesterday or this morning and now doesn't? I'm wondering if they are actually correcting them in the system or if their only fix for now is to take them off the shelves.

I would go for the latter.

Let us not forget Fox's 50% off sale and the free Alien Quadrilogy DVD sets we/everyone picked up. The naysayers said the value would be depressed...judging by most recent ending prices (Asian bootlegs notwithstanding), I think everything evens out over time.

No matter what, these buys were good...great going OP!! Send me your email for a nice paypal reward.

Lawrence, KS was the land of happy this morning and now has corrected prices. Olathe, Olathe South, Overland Park, Ward Parkway and Shawnee were all no go.

Did you try the new one on 135 and state line? I think I will run over there after work.

Actually Westminster on Beach had this deal earlier. When I got there at like 2:30 all Gilmore Girls, Friends, and Sex and the City were wiped out. Two employees were figuring out what was going on by the time I got there and started correcting the prices.

has anyone tried Target stores in Southern IN (Evansville), or Western KY (Owensboro)? Those are the closest two locations around me, and they're both 1 hr away.

Just an update on the Pittsburgh Target stores-- I tried both the Monroeville and the West Mifflin stores this afternoon, and nothing was priced at $5.99 at either store.

Checked Princeton and East Windsor NJ Targets, where everything was scanning at regular price. Hit the Manalapan store on the way home--either someone beat me to it and cleaned off the shelves, or it was the employees. Either way, I did manage to pick up Pocahontas, Mary Poppins, and Jaws 30th Anniversary for $5.99 each.

Did anyone try the Target in Edison?

I had a hunch that was a possibility since the shelves were effectively licked clean. I, however, tried to scan a couple of the "big" titles like BoB and Looney Tunes and came back with full price.

As a bit of a change to my previous post, I just got back from the Cypress store and got Mary Poppins and MacGyver. There were a few of each of those left. I'm probably going to go back again and check some of the smaller titles mentioned in this thread since the big ones (SatC, BoB, Sopranos) didn't pan out last night on my first check.

Anybody else have any luck in Johnson City, TN?

Thanks to OP for posting & congrats to those who got in on the deal. I had been up literally ALL NIGHT getting ready for school opening on Monday (spent the night at the school) and was dogtired when I got home. Normally, the first thing I would do would be to check email, DVDtalk, Half.com selling account, etc....in which case, I would have been on the road to the store around 4:00 P.M. Unfortunately, I sat down & that was all she wrote. Fell asleep until around 9:00 P.M. By the time I woke up & saw the post, it was too late to get to the only local Target (which is about 25 miles away) since they close at 10:00 P.M. Went after school today & the wife and I scanned practically every tv set they had. All rang up at marked prices with the exception of one lone MacGuyver set...which was not on my want list. It could be that no other sets were mispriced yesterday anyway...but since MacGuyver was "on sale", I figure that probably other sets were, too. Really wanted Batman s.3, Joan of Arcadia, Sex & City s.5 & 6 (pt. 1 & 2), Gilmore Girls (all), Sopranos 5, Moonlighting, and several others. We are DVD junkies & love tv box sets...and this would have been a great way to get several borderline series (Charmed, O.C., Little House latter seasons, etc.). <Heavy sigh> Again, congrats to those who scored big on this one.

Didn't even think to check Mary Poppins since didn't see about it until I got home this evening. Dang!

Today at Burbank, CA store around 1pm found:
Monk S3 (2 copies)
Entourage (1 copy) I snagged the only one :-)

North Hollywood at 2pm found:
Macgyver S1
Miami Vice S1
Newsradio S1
Magnum PI S1 & 2

Scanned SATC, Friends, GG and most of the others that were mentioned, but all rang up regular price.

Well hit my third taget. Still came up empty season set wise. I did snag Jaws for $5.99 at the third store. Now I can frame my autographed copy.

I love you people :)

Huge, huge, huge score for me in Concord, NH...between my two trips and the friends that I told about it, we scored:

Macgyver Seasons 1 & 2
Friends Seasons 7-9
Sex and the City (multiple seasons)
Newsradio
Batman Vol. 3
Fantastic Four
Spongebob (multiple seasons)
Gilmore Girls (multiple seasons)
Joan of Arcadia
Murder She Wrote
Johnny Carson Collection
Blues Clues Box Set
Looney Tunes Vol. 1 & 2
Band of Brothers
Pocahontas

Needless to say, this is my best DVD day EVER, and I have you all to thank! And both times I went in, no one really batted an eye, but I guess as I was leaving the cashier remarked "It's really odd that all those rang up at 5.99" to one of her co-workers.

Sadly, I got there at 4:17PM and this one as well as the one on Fullbrook also was a no go. Seems strange that they could fix it this quickly but oh well. I saw the Band of Brothers missing, well done . At least someone got in on this deal.
