I was able to get CC to match the price w/o even talking to a manager. the cashier just changed it right there. i'm not saying that she wasn't a manager, but no argument or anything. Thanks for the heads up guys! been looking for this one for quite a while

It was the 5th but I went back to mine and they were all gone. They must have mispriced it.

They do all sorts of goofy things at my costco. They put out The Cat Returns and the other 2 movies by the director really early and I must have been the first person to try and buy them because it wasn't in the register.

They went and put them all in the back. Going back after the release date, they hadn't put them back and we checked with customer service about it and they couldn't find them in the system at all.

Got mine at Fred Meyer today- on sale for $19.99 and PM'd without a prob. They still had a couple copies in those stand alone cardboard stands outside the video Dept. (Tigard, OR)

My Circuit City was having none of this. The one special edition was clearly marked 33.99 and even though three employees agreed that it looked like the one on sale, they all said "sometimes they print the wrong covers in the ad".

No good pricematching at my local Best Buy & Wal-mart--neither had it in stock. And none of the three Circuit City stores in my area have it, either, according to their computer inventory. I asked for a raincheck, and they looked at me like I had two heads. They said they didn't offer rainchecks on out-of-stock sale items. Can that be true? The ad had no fine print suggesting limited quantities, no rainchecks, ect...

Anyway, I pushed my case, since they didn't have the title on the shelf the entire week of the sale (according to their own inventory records). So the manager signed my ad and made a note on it to honor it when (and if) the two-disc set ever shows up.

I'll hold my breath...

I've never had any luck with advertising errors at CC. I thought about trying my luck this time, but am not too optimistic.

^ same here. I was in the store, and they had the uncut 2 disc, but they had NO ads... anywhere in the store. I didn't have much of a leg to stand on without it so I didn't bother

That's the reason why people get rainchecks. There isn't a need to get one if the item is regular price.

They are obviously retarded.

I asked for a raincheck and they gave it to me, but surprise, it never came in. Last week I went back with my raincheck and the manager had me order online and today they refunded the difference.
