That's why I'd price match somewhere else if they had the picture wrong.

This week as in right now, or this week as in 7/3 - 7/9 (the week with which this thread is concerned)? Which Studio Ghibli titles? All of them? More information please.

I already have all the Miyazaki movies, but I'm sure other people could use the information.

Hmmm looks good.

Is the Harold & Kummar the unrated by any chance?

It should be...it's cheaper than the rated one anyway.

They were on sale last week as well as right now. They should be listed as a "Temporary Price Cut" however i forgot when the date ends. I believe it's Princess Mononoke, Castle in the Sky, and Kiki's Delivery Service that are 14.99.

Anyone spot any B&M specials for the Warner Film Noir Classics Collection #2 coming out on 7/5?

For what it's worth, I also wouldn't buy the UMDs. But I can tell you that it's not worth much coming from me given that I still haven't double dipped up to DVD from some of my VHS tapes.

I bought all 3 of them from DDD. Baseketball and Sgt Pepper were only 4.80 each shipped, so I'm still better off. Still, lots of 4.99 deals that I may have to consider, if I can find them. Gotta there there early on Sunday I bet!

Suncoast has ALL of them (those titles, plus the 3 newer releases) for 15.99 each... Not sure when that sale ends...

If you're willing to make the trip, go on Friday to pick up the ones you want, then return and price match them. Guarantees you get the one want. My local CC had lots of stock on the $4.99 dvds the Friday before the sale (I believe this was Black Friday). I returned on Monday, the CSR had to ask a manager first and he gave the ok and price matched them all.

not only that but they'll give you 10% off of the difference (they do that even when PMing their own prices...it's in the policy)

Buying on Friday and PM'ing on Sunday or Monday is a good idea for most people, except it won't work for me for 2 reasons:

(1) I'll be gone those days (it is in fact a holiday weekend) so I won't be near a Circuit City. I think there is a Walmart near where I'm going, but I seriously doubt Walmart will have the titles I want. Whenever any store has a sale with a narrow time window, I usually pass because I can't bend my life around their narrow time windows (i.e. I miss all those Sears and Comp USA half-day sales for this reason). Tuesday is usually the day I make my "rounds", so if the sale isn't active on Tuesday it's generally worthless to me.

(2) Even if I weren't going to be gone, Circuit City is a 10 mile round trip, and I don't think it's worth fighting the crowds and wasting gas for about 6 marginal $4.99 titles on a holiday weekend. A few of the DVDs were cheaper at DDD's recent 20% off sale, so I might just wait for the next sale.

I have to remember to keep saying to myself: Must control self. They're only DVDs. If I don't get them, life will go on (I've already got too many others to watch). But doing the pre-buy and PM is a good idea for those who'll be around. I guess what I dislike about this sale is it doesn't last a whole week.

Once again, CC's prices kick BB's prices' ass.

I have noticed this trend and it has been going on for awhile now. No complaints here since CC is closer to me than BB.

I have the CC ad in hand and they show the new $30 Das Boot DVD (the 5 hour mini-series) in the ad for $9.99. I'm sure they meant to show the regular $15 version. I already have the Superbit, but someone might want to try and see if they honor this (or PM it)!

when you take a dvd and put it on a memory disc it never looks nearly as good as an official UMD movie. i thought i would never buy a umd for my psp, especially after spider-man 2 (the bleeding effect when characters would move fast) but i picked up hellboy and starship troopers on ebay and they look alot better then the free spiderman 2, no bleeding or nothing. its fun watching a movie on the psp. i would never pay 29.99 but 19.99 and under i can do

Also in the Best Buy ad this week they're offering the Reward Zone membership for 25% off ($7.50). Only $2.50 off, but it might be a good time for those of us planning on renewing. Last year they sent a coupon at the last minute where if you renewed you'd get 2 $5.00 certificates...but since I'm a "devil" now I don't think I'll get that this year.
