finally got my 3 collector sets today! twister dirty dozen and casablanca. even though the box looked like it was run over by a tractor trailer the contents were fine with no floaters etc. i was surprised that the casablanca even came with the cd soundtrack. not bad for 19.99!

Anyhow, does anyone know how pre-orders with free shipping works? DDD says that they ship it so that it arrives around release date. Is this true with free shipping? Can I expect the Controversial Classics Boxset when it comes out?

I preordered the RVD 2 disc set about 3 months early with free shipping and it got here a week after the street date. I have an order out with them now that shipped almost two weeks ago I still haven't got, if that helps any.

I have gotten pre-orders from DDD sometimes a week or more before the release date but that was like 2 years ago. I have not had many pre-orders with DDD since then that I remember getting early. You do have to factor in the "Free Shipping" and hope for the best. I really didnt think that much about the free shipping when I placed 5 orders but now its bring up some bad memories with delivery times from DDD and the usps.

they only have 1 of 3 of my orders on their site. I had to email them (several times) to find out what I had ordered/been billed for. As it stands, one of my internet orders that gave me the error page did go through, so I've got 2 copies of Film Noir Vol. 1 coming to me.

I just got an email shipping notice saying Errol Flynn set had shipped. Hoping for a fast delivery. Also, got a shipping email late last week saying the Musical set had shipped but not delivered as of today (Tuesday).

My Controversial Classics boxset shipped on Tuesday so hopefully I get it by release date.
