Best Buy, Circuit City, and Fry's all provide 110% guarantees. The 10% is only for the difference in price though. And at Best Buy, the purchase has to be made first prior to price matching to receive the discount.

Sears does 110% PMs as well. Staples too if you need anything from there.

Circuit City says that they do it if you bring in a competitor's ad, but you have to remind them. If you just say "I want to price match," that's all they'll do. I had to go back in and make them re-do the transaction to give me the discount.

At my local Circuit City, they automatically give you the 110% PM on the spot, but at my local Best Buy, you have to come back a couple days later to get the 110% PM which is retarded.

I think their policy says something like "if you find a lower price within X days", so I always just buy it at the register, and immediately go over to customer service and say "Hey, they have this for x.xx at Circuit City," and then they'll do the credit for me. I had to argue with a manager over it once, but since then, they've been really good, and the extra transaction never takes more than 30 seconds or so.

They do that in order to make you jump through hoops in order to get the 10% PM Guarantee and hope that you will just say "forget it". It is the most asinine thing to do as far as the customer is concerned, and it is very stupid on their end as they 1) Nearly double the workload because now 2 people have to do the transaction, 2) It creates animosity for their customers. Not only is the customer irritated that it couldn't be handled "on the spot", but they sometimes have to wait in line for an additional amount of time. Customer Service specialists Best Buy isn't!

At my BestBuy, price matches can ONLY be done at customer service so I can't go around that loophole that Shagrath mentions above.

I don't get it. Shagrath just said do pricematch at the customer service desk, which is the same as what you're saying. Why can't you buy it at the register and PM at the cust service desk?
