Does anyone have any idea when the next big sale will be?

After the 25% off Groundhog Day sale, I think it is safe to say probably not until the end of the year around Thanksgiving, if we're lucky.

I think some of you people are just a little too greedy. Another xxx% off sale would be nice so long as it's stackable with the present coupons, but for now I'm happy with the "Buy 1, Get 1 Free" coupon codes.

This should be a sticky thread.

DDD likes to catch folks offguard with their sales because the sales are highly anticipated. Last year they ran the Thanksgiving Sale early and had a Summer Sale. The GHD sale was just an extension of that policy.

Unfortunately, the Groundhog saw his shadow. Otherwise, they were going to honor 6 more weeks of this sale!

with their new pricing (i assume a direct reflection of best buy not offering free shipping anymore) even a 20% off sale doesnt make them too desirable anymore. at least for newer releases.

I think you are getting that confused with the Martin Luther King birthday sale they had in January.

I think it would be rather silly for DDD to have another big sale just 5 days after that ridiculous Ash Wednesday 50% off all box sets deal. I don't want DDD to go out of business and lose the benefit of their everyday low prices!

Just enter ELBILLUG as the coupon code at checkout. It will give the lowest priced one for free.

My pocketbook is still hurting from their "Buy None, Get 10 Free" sale.

I'm really looking forward to the Ted Kennedy Chappaquiddick 36th anniversary sale in July. DDD is going to give away 1000 copies each of a Bridge Too Far and Waterworld. DDD is really going overboard with all the sales this year.

Allright, all kidding aside - was last summer's sale planned or was it just in response to the "unofficial sale" a few wks earlier? Hoping we get another this yr... I've got my list all ready to go.
