It's also part of quasi-hidden promotion they're running for 2 Fox Special Editions for $20.70 USD (w/o shipping). I just picked up the French Connection: Five Star and MASH: Five Star with it.

Fight Club and The Abyss, two titles I have been meaning to get, cost me 27.64 CAD or $22.287USD shipped, plus the small amount my Mastercard always seems to charge me to convert Canadian purchases.
Still, all told, I got them both for about $11.50 each, thanks!

Fight Club
Anyone in Southern California ever order from them? I'd like to know how long shipping took once they sent out a shipped email. From what I've read its taken some 2-3 weeks once they received the shipped email.
I'm thinking about getting Speed and Fight Club but I'm somewhat reluctant of purchasing them considering the past experiences I've read on here.

Is the Fight Club 2-Disc in a plastic or cardboard case? The DVDSoon site says it's in a keepcase, which I assume is a plastic case, but Half.com lists it as a digipac, which I assume is a cardboard case (am I wrong in those assumptions).
Anyway, I wonder about DVDSoon's option of $1 extra for them shipping the DVDs in a box. They say they use whatever is the right size (padded mailer or box) and won't credit you if you pay extra and they'd have used a box anyway (pretty bizarre!). If the DVD cases are cardboard, I'd probably want to pay extra for a box to assure it doesn't get beaten up on the way down from Canada.
Does anyone have experience when DVDSoon uses boxes anyway and when they use padded mailers? I've only previously ordered multiple box sets from them (for which, they used boxes), but I wonder about orders for 2-4 single discs.
Sorry about all the questions, but I realize people here know *everything*.
Thanks!

it was discontinued and then a re-continued. the only difference is a number "9" on the spine. the original 2 disc was worth some money when it went out, but the studio quickly re-released it.

Thanks for the info on the packaging, JZ. I just canceled my orders and re-ordered them with boxes (it's like an .80 per DVD insurance policy). I was surprised to see the re-ordered total was only a few pennies higher, but then I noticed their Fidelity card member discount is now 20% off (it was 14% yesterday). I bought the card yesterday figuring it would be worth it for me.
Now the question is how long it will take to get the DVDs, as they can be very sloooow (could they have a more ironic name?). It's also annoying that they charge your card right away (although my 0% APR Chase card means I don't really have to pay for another year), but I don't mind for DVDs I don't need immediately. I actually got an email that one of the discs I ordered yesterday shipped today (it was one of the freebies for joining Fidelity).
