They can't charge you more than the agreed upon price without authorization, that's why most of the orders were cancelled. If they sent Traffic out and changed the full price, you would contact Visa, Mastercard, etc. to correct it and they would.

Blockbuster won't take your ShowGirls cuz it's the unrated edition...I tried during the $8 sale and was denied for that reason.

I got my showgirls, but the traffic i got was non-CC. oh well, I'll just return it, and keep my showgirls...

I finally picked up my Ali today (in the snowstorm) and the pickup receipt shows $4.50 + Tax ($4.89 Total).

My BestBuy.com receipt shows $4.89 as well.

However, I was charged $7.50 + Tax for it ($8.15 total) on 1/18/05.

I called BestBuy.com and the CSR told me to dispute it with my credit card so now I gotta call them on Monday to get it fixed.

I actually got 2 showgirls and a traffic in anticipation of it not really being an actual criterion (it looks like mine was the only one that wasn't hough?)

I received my Jerry Mcguire SE today.

I've received JACK so far.

And I'm not talking about the movie starring Robin Williams, either. :)

Still waiting on Knight's Tale SB and Rudy Deluxe Edition.

I'm not in any hurry as long as it shows up some time next week. Usually I get my dvds from Amazon and Coconuts fairly quick. This is my first time ordering from BestBuy.com

LB: Why would it not work? The DVD's are listed on the receipt/order form as $7.50 each so the poster returns "Traffic" and gets credited $7.50. (plus whatever tax/shipping etc.)

Gotta get it "fixed"? I'm confused. Didn't you expect to pay $7.50 plus tax for it? If so, what exactly needs fixing?

my receipt shows $4.50 + Tax. I was charged $7.50 + Tax. Therefore, I should was overcharged $3 + Tax.

I know technically, I already got a good deal but since my receipt shows it as $3 cheaper, then that's what I should pay.

Also, if I try to return this to Best Buy, I'm sure that they'll only give me back $4.50 + Tax even though I paid $7.50 + Tax.

I received Traffic yesterday.

Technically you were charged exactly what you thought you were going to be charged. And on a deal which you already knew was a major price-screwup on their part that you were lucky to get in on to begin with, I don't know why you need to go out of your way to screw them even more.

And don't give me any crap about returning the disc and getting back what you paid for it. That's a totally laughable lame excuse for justifying your actions. If you actually needed to return it, I'm sure a copy of your credit card statement would be enough to get your full amount back.

Are you sure you were only charged 7.50 + tax? The same screwup happened to me, but I was charged BOTH 7.50 + tax, and 4.50 + tax a few days later. So I was DOUBLE charged for this title! I really do have a dispute situation on my hands, but I will bet in the long run they will keep the 7.50 price and only credit me for the 4.50 one. I can't complain, since that is what I was expecting to pay. But it's still gonna be a pain in the a$$ to get this resolved since BB.com doesn't believe I was double charged...

Received one so far...and that was the Knight's Tale Superbit which arrived today.

Odd, I received on Saturday Showgirls, which I ordered along with Rudy. Rudy couldn't come yesterday because it was sunday (obviously), but strangely it didn't come today either. I presume it'll come tomorrow. Odd that two items shipped the same day should come 3 days apart.

Sometimes the items ship from different facilities (one of mine shipped from CA, while the other shipped from somewhere else...can't remember right now). Also, when you're using the cheapest shipping method, anything can happen with that mail.

In other news, I received the $3.26 refund to my credit card for Ali today. They acknowledged the refund when I picked it up on Saturday (1/22) and it posted to my CC on Monday (1/24). It looks like for store pickups, they charge you once when you make the order, then make any corrections when you pick it up. :up: to Best Buy on this one.

have yet to recieve my copy of showgirls (shipped on 01/17/05), but i did pick up fargo SE for only $5.38 w/ coupon. not bad considering they were charging $14.99 instore.

Traffic CC arrived today. Nice. :D
