I paid $39.98+tax for...

Spider-Man 2 Superbit
Starship Troopers Superbit
Heavy Metal Superbit

They were out of Spider-Man Superbit, so I bought it at another store for $14.99+tax.

I scored both Spidies and Starship Troopers for $34.96 at the Orange, CT location. As already mentioned, you'll get the third disc scanned for free(make sure that you give them the most expensive one last). A big thanks to the OP.

Does anyone know what the price of both Spider-Man SBs will be after this week? The only time I can get to a Best Buy conveniently will likely be on Sunday and I'm trying to decide if the price of gas for an "emergency" trip would still mean a savings.

22.99 for Spider-Man 2 and 19.99 for Spider-Man according to the stickers on my copies.

I went back to Best Buy to return my two sets of three so I could repurchase them in a different order for the lower price. The girl at the customer service counter must have thought I was mad when I said I wanted to return 6 DVDs and then buy the exact same ones again [SM and SM2 Superbits are OOS by me, also].

Thanks so much to the OP for turning me on to this offer. I wouldn't have noticed the yellow strips on the shelf in the store. I ended up with...

$17.99 Spider-Man 2 Superbit
$14.99 Spider-Man Superbit
$FREE! The Fifth Element Superbit

I think that's a screaming deal to get those three movies for only $33!

BTW, I couldn't find the SM2 SB at first but a clerk helped me find one of the last two or three which were on a table near the DVD section underneath the SM2 giftsets

I am thinking about doing the same thing. I didn't know the order mattered. Jumped on the deal too soon I guess. Anyway, I also may pick another three since I can give the second Spiderman2 as a gift for Christmas.

Good luck finding another Spider-Man 2 Superbit, cajun_junky. The DVD guy at my store said he only got 20 copies. Good thing I went before the noon rush.

Thanks, that helped alot. I'm just going to make the trip on a day when I have to go up anyway. The savings aren't signficant enough for a special trip with the cost of gas, etc. In a few months my town will have its own store so I won't be missing out anymore! (I may even apply to work there part time!)

Well, I didn't know about this deal when I went to BB today. I wanted to buy Spidey 2 SB and Spidey 1 SB. They had a deal for buying Spidey 2 SE and Spidey 1 SE for $25. I asked if I could get the two superbits for $25 and he told me no, but he'd knock off $5 (same discount for the other two). They were actually out of the SM 2 SB DVD's, but are getting some on Saturday. I bought the SM 1 SB for $14.99 and got a raincheck on the SM for $12.99.

I wonder if when I go in Saturday to get my SM 2 SB (they're getting a shipment then), if they'll let me get another SB for free? That would be 3 superbits for $28. The only problem is that the two SM SB's will be on different receipts so the register won't automatically discount the third one.

Worth a try anyway, I guess. Hopefully they'll have some of the tags up by then (they didn't today) and I can just point the deal out to them.

I waisted 2 hours of my time going to the 2 in Queens and they were sold out too

I went to my BB, but they didn't have many SB titles I wanted.

Guess I'll just get SM-2 and call it a day.

Okay, I've decided to take the plunge into this deal! But I was wondering if anyone could give me any suggestions. I'm not sure what to get for the third disc. I was considering Once Upon a Time in Mexico and The Missing, but the regular editions look better and very fully loaded. Next I was thinking about Underworld. I have the extended cut of the movie, and after reading the review, the Superbit still doesn't seem like a great pick over the regular.

So, I'm down to two picks and not sure which to get. Either Bram Stoker's Dracula, which I saw ages ago and barely remember, but I do remember it was at least a decent movie.. and Cowboy Bebop, which I know nothing about. I haven't liked much anime I've seen yet, but on the other hand, I heard this is very much in the vein of Firefly (Serenity), which I love. Both seem to have favorable reviews.

Any input would be greatly appreciated (heck, e-mail me if you want if it wouldn't be appropriate for this thread). ... The other two I'm getting are the two Spider-Man films.

I bought Spidey 1 and 2 and got Mask of Zorro (21.99) for free. Nice since my wife wanted that movie. All for under $35.

How about Lawrence of Arabia, Fifth Element or Starship Troopers? All are supposedly killer experiences as Superbits.

Dracula is great especially if you have a good surround system. I picked up Lawrence of Arabia and Starship Troopers. The Fifth Element is also a good choice.

Holy smokes! We're twins! I got the same thing too! And they gave me Zorro for free (the most expensive of the 3)!
