I couldn't recommend "The Shield" enough. Amazing blind buy for those of you on the fence... Here was my review for DVDTalk.

I bought it as a blind buy and wasn't impressed. I thought it tried too hard to be shocking and over the top to warrant all the praise it gets.

Thanks. Finally got in on one of those Millenium deals. Also bought Simpsons S1 at last (never was much of a fan of S1, but would rather pay $14 and get it than $2 to ship the other item by itself).

If anyone has bought from Buy.com in the past can you tell us your past experiences? I've never bought from them and I wanted to know how their customer service is in case there is problems with DVD's.

Also I'm tempted to buy Millenium as a blind buy but can anyone give me info on this show and whether I should get it or not?

Thanks

they're usually fairly good .. few months ago there was some unhappy people who ordered some stuff that was incorrectly priced (or they just didn't want to honor it) and there was a whole load of crap from people saying they suck etc, but I've never had a problem with them personally and have ordered from em about a dozen times..as far as Millennium, It's sorta X-Filesish, kind of "mystery" stories ..a little slow paced but it's not bad ..

The sale also applies to several Disney animated DVDs: Mulan:SE, Aladdin:SE, Mickey's Twice Upon a Christmas, all $14.99 ($14.09 after 6% off). Might see prices like these on Black Friday but at least no sales tax for most states.

Yay! Futurama! BTW, does anyone know if it is "8" or "18" episodes on disc four? The description is incorrect in one place or another. Thanks.

Thanks!

Thank you OP!

Picked up The Shield and M*A*S*H.

When will the other releasing companies follow Fox's lead . . . Columbia/Sony, Universal, etc.?

this time around i picked up King of the Hill, Futurama, M*A*S*H, and The Shield, all for just $56.36! Much thanks to the OP.

i had just picked up Dark Angel (foth seasons) last week at Sam's Club for $18.64, it was a blind buy and i'm finished with the 1st disc.....it's good, so for only $14.09 it's a safe no-brainer for anyone.

You're definitely in the minority there. I highly recommend it - IMO, the best cop show ever.

YIPPEE!!! Thanks for the great post! I received this email, but deleted it without reading. I really should stop doing that...
I got Millennium, The Shield, and Dark Angel. I had bought all the others at Amazon, except for In Living Color which I bought at B&M The Shield is a blind buy for me, but I definitely recommend Millennium as a blind buy--especially if you are an X-Files fan!

That's the first negative thing I've heard about The Shield -- I'm in shock. The Shield Season 1 is definitely in my top 10 of all time for TV seasons -- it's right up there with The Sopranos Seasons 1 & 2 IMO.

I picked up Angel S1, Buffy S1, and Roswell S1 from Amazon last time and have watched Angel and Buffy (still holding out on Roswell). I'm going with King of the Hill S1 this time and I am considering In Living Color. For those who have In Living Color would you recommend it?

I would definitely recommend Millennium as a blind buy if you're into dark movies, like Seven. Millennium as a whole is much like the darker of the dark episodes from The X-Files. Millennium is a great show and very entertaining -- but it can be brutal at times, so if you stray away from violent scenes I wouldn't recommend it.

To the guy who posted the 10% off message: I want 10% off too -- please share the details of how to get this if you can.
