I have aproximatley $273 on a Blockbuster gift card and I am looking for any feasible way to purchase a new slim form-factor PS2. My local BB sells onlythe previous model, but that model does not have built-in ethernet adapter nor is it the size of a DVD case. Plus, I like the fact that the new models are not slot loading, less problems.
How can I make this happen???

Cool. I didn't realize how much I had because it was spread over 4 cards, but when the 4th card topped $400, I knew something was wrong. So far, I've only spent $40 of it, but I can be pretty patient.

What location in GA? The store on 120 & 141 in North Fulton had them out last week. I didn't see GWTW but wouldn't mind picking it up early.

I almost hit the motherload today!!!

I had the firt 3 seasons of THE SOPRANOS that someone traded in and I was going to get SW ATOC to make it a total of 4 items.

Just as the lady was scanning them in comes her manager from her break and says "Oh wait, we can't do 2 for $20 on those...not on boxed sets."

I told her that I had bought the Simpsons Seasons 1,2 and 3 from the other Blockbuster locations with no problems using the same promo and she said "I am sorry, Sir. But we just can't do that....it's on our policy for the promo"

So I couldn't argue.....BUT DAMN!!!! SHEEEIT!!! I was SO close to getting those at such a bargain!!!!!! :(

Really. The store near me has every season 1-7 on the shelf.

I am sure they will. Just call different ones. One of them is bound to get a copy (which is usually all they get).

got a chunky $400 store credit after all was said and done. picked up the 2-disc monty python and the holy grail spec. ed. , quiet man collector's ed., armageddon criterion collection, and akira the tin collection...all for $40. not bad considering they were all in perfect condition, with all covers and inserts intact. the armageddon alone costs about $40.

Did she show you the promo policy?

I feel you though. I can't get the season sets. I probably could if I wanted to at other BBV stores (but the only store that actually has used box sets puts the little piece of clear tape with black letters that says "Not Included in the 2/$20 deal")

Funny you should ask because I had been thinking the same thing. Today I was in one of our towns Blocbusters and saw all the season sets in a display case. I went to the counter and had her look up seaon 8 in the computer. She said they are getting only one at this time and it sells for about $38. I already have it preordered for about $25 so I passed on this bad deal. All this credit and I'm having a hard time thinking on what to spend it on considering how expensive they are.

Previously rented (19.99 or higher)? :confused: They don't even offer previously rented box sets for sale. They have each disc in a separate case. They have totally lost their minds...

That's true - the highest price I have ever seen on a previous rental is $16.99. However, for some reason they have priced the Animal House CE I traded in at $19.99 (I got $10 credit for it). They seem to think it is rare or something - it is OOP but the older version in the jewel case is the more valuable one.
