Get a 20% off DVD coupon from the Madden coupon book (details here). It's up to your local BB if they would accept the coupon on the SW trilogy.

Actually, it really isn't. It's accepted by the register after it's scanned in. I think the checkout person has to override for more than one purchase, but for one item it just goes through. I'm sure anyone who picked up a Madden book saved at least one coupon for 9/21.

I'm tempted to go to Wal-Mart and get it for $41.88 as my local BB isn't doing the midnight thing. I really wonder just how great that magazine will be though?

Does "BB" stand for "BlockBuster" or "Best Buy"? I'm confused.

The FYE deal is going to be the best deal for most. You can ensure you get the DVD on release day by going into the store and use the $15.00 mail-in-rebate which means you will pay $35.00 plus tax (on $50.00). For me, it will cost $38.00. No one is going to beat that in this area (Detroit, MI), including Walmart.

Problem with FYE mailing rebates is that they ask you to mail the UPS code from the boxes in order to get the rebate, in this case, you will have to destroy the box in order to cut out the code. I am not sure if it is worth the few bucks less in 4-6 weeks to do that.

VRaytchev - You don't need to cut out anything for the FYE rebates. You can send in the printed sticker on the outside of the package.

You still will have to wait for 4-6 weeks though.

Yeah, I'm going to try and get it from Best Buy....with the Madden coupon. Unless there is some other great offer by some B&M store. Was hoping for a combo of the DVD and SW:Battlefront

Well isn't that Madden 20% off coupon "not valid with any other offers"? Such as sale prices on release date?

According to someone on another forum:

"FYE/Coconuts/Transworld stores allow their customers to use the bar codes on the price sticker on the cellophane shrink wrap which surrounds the item. No mutilation of the packaging is required. "

DavidH, as explain above and on many other places FYE is discussed you DO NOT have to cut the box. They stick a yellow price, UPC stikcer on the package. Simply peel this off and use it.

4 weeks to save $15 is well worth it.

I've used two of them on sale items, no problem.

Sales don't count. You just can't use other coupons (or probably even Reward Zone certificates). Though even that sometimes varys by the cashier you get.

you can use Rewards Certificates with them.

Also, for a lot of coupons, sales DO count. E.g. THe Video Gamers coupon. The system usually won't take the $5 off and they usually have to manually override the system to get the $5 off

Anyone think this set might become a Black Friday deal? I'm so cheap (and poor), I may have to wait anyhow, but it is fun to think it being sold for something crazy like $24 the day after Thanksgiving when everyone here bought it for $33 and up.

I have never had a problem using the Madden coupons or those weekend coupons they send out on sale items. Hell, I bought my TV when it was on sale and used a 10 percent off.

Never even had to ask about it, they just work.

That is a good price Cornell, but a great many of us don't live near the 28 or so Fry's in the US, and they don't have an online store either. Personally, I'm getting mine on the FYE deal (including the now expired gift card deal - buy a $50 GC get a $10 GC free.)

Fair enough, but the $4.83 shipping kills it for me!
