Blockbuster 3 for $25 sale

The sale starts this Friday, should run through the week (if I recall correctly), all previously viewed DVD's are 3 for $25 (regardless of set price) -- figured atleast one or two of you might want to know.

Are they still placing stickers on the discs? If not, I may have to go back to Blockbuster. Haven't been in a couple years.

Nah, the discs are all clean and devoid of the security stickers on the disc that once graced them. You can always have someone there open the box for you to make sure though. When I started working at mine locally I'd slide the inserts underneath the artwork in the dvd case, not to mention putting the stickers (i.e. sale price and barcode) overtop the plastic as not to ruin the sleeves themselves) when they went out for sale, I'm hoping this trend will catch on. I'll turn them around yet.

They had tons of Badder Santa at my local BBV, so you shouldn't have any trouble finding one. It's definitely on my list.

Anybody seen City of God or Broken Wings in the previously viewed? I forgot to look for those.

I've been waiting for this sale for about a month now. Time to pick up some movies. Thanks for the heads-up!

I picked up Dirty Pretty Things PVD at BBV around 7/4/2004 during a previous 3/$25 holiday sale.

I've seen Cold Mt & Dirty Pretty Things both @ BBV recently. Although Dirty is a bit harder to find. I'm hoping they'll pull some "The Dreamers (NC-17)" out for the sale.

The San Lorenzo, CA store is still only 2 for $20. I went there yesterday and got Mystic River and Matrix Revolutions. No Bowling for Columbine or Badder Santa - otherwise I would have gotten those too!

Has anyone seen this sale this weekend? I was expecting it for NEXT weekend to coincide with the holiday like their other 3/$25 sales.

I believe all the Blockbusters in the Orange County area are implementing the 3 for $25 deal already. Sale started yesterday. Confirmed with 4 different Blockbusters.

Bowling for Columbine had an MSRP price drop to $14.95. It's $9.99 at Best Buy, Circuit City etc. I've already seen it as part of a 2 for $15 deal at CC. It'll probably be part of a 3 for $20 deal at Best Buy as well. That said, just pick it up new.

i finally bought dvds again after seeing this sale. Cold Mountain,Return of the King, American Splendor, Stuck on You , Badder Santa, and Starsky n Hutch. Not bad. Glad they don't have the BB sticker on the dvd, but the only thing I missed on is the inserts. I didn't get any on the dvds I got, and in fact forgot about it until i got home. Otherwise, I would have tried to choose among several dvds. Too bad Kil Bill 2 wasn't available.

Wrong. The Bowling for Columbine sold at BB and CC now are not the same disc you can buy at BBV. The disc at BB and CC are the new single sided, while the one I bought a BBV a few weeks ago is the originally released dual sided with more special features.
