I got mine today. Although I've been checking this thread regularly out of curiousity, I really didn't expect to get the DVD even after people starting reporting receiving theirs. Pleasant surprise.

It does show a scene or two of the second plane crashing into the tower and the towers falling.
I don't think anything could possibly conjure up the emotions we all felt during that time but I think a documentary focusing on the news reports and such at the time would probably be more compelling than this. Having said that, this was produced by the Dept of Labor and was obviously meant to spotlight the cleanup effort.

My theory is that the relevant part of the DoL realized they had a little left over money in their budget this year and that if they didn't spend it on something, next year's budget would be decreased by the difference. So they finally put the thing together, but they may not have had enough money to manufacturer and ship all of the promised discs. If that's the case, there will definitely be people who signed up and never got their promised copy. You might get lucky in next year's spend it or lose it lottery though.
For those unaware, the federal fiscal year begins on October 1st, and for those who have never worked for a department of the federal government, be assured that such last minute spending goes on all the time - empire building is typically the highest imperative and the bigger your budget, the bigger your empire.

Received mine yesterday.
Was the start of this thread the first time this was offered? For some reason I thought it was even quite sometime before 9/2003. I was thinking March of 2002 unless I'm thinking of something else that was similar I signed up for that never came.

If you do put together covers, would you be willing to share them? I'm not very gifted at doing things like that...
: )
