It really feels like these streaming comics services are like the red headed stepchild the main corporation forgets about. Like both Disney + and HBO Max should have running promos for their respective comic book services but nothing.

DC Universe Infinite Ultra announced today. 100 bucks annually for a digital subscription that gets you comics one month after they release, beating marvel unlimited’s 3 month or so delay. I’m really tempted.

I’ve been running out of physical space, and this deal is tempting me to just go mostly digital again.

Wait are Nightwing and Batgirl an item (again) or is this just teasing the audience with covers?

They have been an item in Tom Taylors current run, and its been great.

Kind of pointless since DC would never marry them off in the mainstream continuity. And I actually like the relationship. But they aren't tying up two popular characters together in marriage; see the Batman-Catwoman fiasco.

Batman and Catwoman did get married though in the last issue of their maxi-series and so far it’s part of DC’s main continuity

I doubt that status quo lasts much longer. They'll give it eighteen months and then we'll get another reset somehow.

Well, surprise surprise - DC is going to restore Superman's secret identity. If this turns into a "One More Day" scenario, I may stop collecting the only title(s) I still collect. :grunt:

I'm so behind that I wasn't aware he'd outed himself as Clark Kent.

Supposedly no magic one more day scenario. We'll see

Has anyone here signed up/upgraded to Ultra? Is it worth it? And yeah, I realize it's a bit early to be asking this.

I saw they have a Black Friday sale for 50% off the annual 74.99 Sub

I'm pretty sure the only benefit is a one month delay instead of a five month delay, so I guess it depends on how up to date you want to be with DC comics.

That 50% off sale is for "normal" and not the ultra one, right? Or does the code work on either?

Ah, thanks. Maybe one day...but I think it's gonna only be 99.99 for limited time so we'll see.

Only mentioned it applying to the 74.99 deal in the details and terms section in the "Black Friday Deals" email. I tried the code on the 99.99 Ultra just for shits and giggles and it wouldn't apply. But it did apply on the 74.99 sub. I've been a member since 2018 and I so hate that I let my OG Annual Sub lapse. I think some are still paying $59 annually from what I hear.

The 50% off the 74.99 Annual Sub must be redeemed by 11/26 11:59 PM and is: "DCFridaySale22"

It may only be for New and Returning(Me) subs though....

They've had that same deal (50% off) for the normal sub off and on the last few months, I reupped on a similar deal during San Diego Comic con. I contemplated Ultra but I'm so behind in reading and there's so much content that I just took the discount and ran. I still don't use it as much as I should but most of that is because it's soooo hard to read through storylines without some external guides, but that's just modern comics for you. I can easily get lost in just re-reading stuff from the 70s, 80s and 90s though.

On a side note that is off topic, Marvel Unlimited also has a Cyber weekend deal for 50 bucks. Not that I have time to read both but I'm tempted by that too.

Yeah i always seem to miss these deals even when they are on for a few months. Hell, I only by chance caught this one as I was checking my email for something else. I almost ignored the deal email figuring the Black Friday deals would only be for DC Merchandise which I never buy.

I know, they keep giving me credit for their store and I just waste it because who buys that stuff? ;)
