I believe that a lot of people are learning today that Kevin Conroy is gay.

A friend helped edit an autobiography of Conroy back in 2003 or so, and told me at the time he was planning to come out with its publication. Then I waited years for it to come out.

About five years back I ran into Conroy at a convention and asked about the book. He said the publisher ended up passing on it.

They've run the Crisis title into the ground. I'm just waiting for the next one to be called Crisis Squared.

That right there is the reason why I stopped collecting comics.

Williamson has been writing great stuff lately, so I’m in.

I like the Action logo better than the Detective Comics.

I know it's just a cover, but is that Darkseid in the back there (along with Lobo)? uhh...

Lobo at least was probably part of LEGION around this time and Deathstroke was in the middle of trying to be an antihero (even though you can't really forgive the crap he did up to that point). And I do love the concerted effort to keep everyone in that era, costume wise.

Rehashing the death of Superman is a cheap gimmick.

I highly recommend checking out the new Elseworlds book, Superman: Space Age #1 by Allred and Mark Russell. Basically it's a retelling of Superman in a '60s setting with a few neat wrinkles. Worth buying, probably the best Superman book I've read in years.

It was a cheap gimmick thirty years ago.

I don’t know, I mean superhero stories in general have been gimmicky for 90 years. I thought the whole Death/Multiple/Return run was a well done story.
