The other problem with the aging on Jon is that DC has been quietly aging Damian too. Just look at this coming next week.

Somewhat, but like you said, it depends on the artist. Damian is now out of the Bat books and getting his own series next week, so we’ll see then how they write/draw him.

Nightwing is DC's best book right now. And its done with great writing and respecting the character. So I'm not sure how its a DC book.

No. He's still 13-ish. There was a two-part Robin back up in Batman and Detective Comics last month that leads into Robin #1. He's going his own way now.

If everything goes according to plan, Discovery will soon be the new co-owner of DC Comics.
King Shark and Shark Week will be under the same corporate umbrella. Synergy!

The Discovery CEO is known for jettisoning unprofitable divisions. DC basically gets new corporate overlords - while the merger is technically Warner and Discovery, it will be Discovery steering the new ship.

How the fuck does Discovery end up owning WarnerMedia? That just seems completely ass-backwards.
DC Comics has to be the weirdest thing for executives and bean-counters to deal with. On the one hand, they're a comic book publisher, which is a tiny, independent hobby-store oriented market, and they're only the second largest publisher of comic books at that. But on the other hand, they own two of the most recognizable and marketable characters in the world, so they can't just sell them off when they hold assets like that, and if they stop publishing comics, then will Superman and Batman lose their cultural cachet?

IMHO it would be a huge mistake to shutter or minimize the comics division. I realize I'm super biased as a comics fan, but if you look at the major movies and cartoons and media coming out based on comics, the most successful ones seem to have at least some roots in comic book stories. Heck, if you look at stuff GI Joe and Transformers, Marvel creators were instrumental in creating something that had a lasting impact beyond just a few years of a toyline.

Re: DC Comics - 2021 Thread
The Stargirl Spring Break Special was very good IMO. The Green Arrow retcon is beautifully simple.
This retcon is as simple as A B C. Geoff Johns is really good at these kind of retcons.
Also, I hope he's at the helm of a new Justice Society title

Can someone explain to me why Mike Grell doesn’t have a variant for this anniversary?

Apparently DC has retconned the Golden Age Green Arrow and Speedy into being Oliver and Roy on an accidental time travel trip. This now appears to be the primary status quo.

Yeah, that's crap. I can't believe that dude can't recognize Tim when he's right next to him through that flimsy mask. No wonder people are upset.

Re: DC Comics - 2021 Thread
Super rushed story in a 3rd tier Bat book. DC is grabbing all these headlines about Robin, for a character who is not Robin anymore. And if you go to the store for the Robin ongoing, you're going to get Damian on MK island. DC cant even capitalize.
