I always thought Grifter looked cool. I'm really trying to remember anything about WildC.A.T.S. beyond one was angry, two were maybe siblings, one was a robot, and one was a mutant dancer who was rescued and joined in the first issue? Oh, and while I love Jim Lee, the artwork from Travis Charest was great.

That book had a lot of influence on my own creations.

Yet the tv show had a horrible theme song.

WildC.A.T.s was an odd hodge-podge of random characters, even moreso than most of the early Image team books. It was like a Mad-Libs of early 90s cliches.

You had a Purple Hulk, a T2 Wolverine, a Captain America Android, the Punisher in a Deadpool mask, a ninja babe, a stripper, a space girl, and a cigar-chomping Jack Kirby dwarf.

Right, and Youngblood and all of its spin-offs had a Cable.

I give Lee a lot of credit, though, even though this and his other Wildstorm titles like Stormwatch started out as basically 90s superheroes with a side premise ("covert action team," UN peacekeepers, etc.) when he handed the reigns over to the likes of James Robinson, Alan Moore, Lobdell and then Joe Casey and Sean Phillips (and Warren Ellis for Stormwatch/Authority) the concept evolved a ton.

And yes Charest was awesome... from second rate Jim Lee clone (that early Flash annual and Darkstars book was almost tracing Lee) to someone I preferred over Lee.

Chapel = Black Cable
Cabot = Ponytail Cable
Battlestone = Pigtail Cable
Supreme = Superman Cable
Combat = Alien Cable
Sentinel = Other Black Cable

There are too many cool comic related toys to post every single time, but this Mezco Ditko Spidey is worth a post:

I missed out on the Scott Pilgrim figures that came out around when the movie did, but some cool looking ones were just announced and are up for preorder now:

Newest Haslab is... a 6 inch scaled GI Joe Classified Cobra HISS:

It is everything I could have asked for but like the Super 7 Thundertank and even the HasLab Unicron, I just don't think I can fit it anywhere.

Been meaning to post about this series all week. It looks amazing and all the creators or their estates have been very involved in creating the line. Only problem I see is that their production depends on the amount of preorders, so this works almost as a crowdfunding project

The 7 figure set has dropped in price to $149.99 due to the 7th figure, which is a mystery one, being FREE only on this set. BBTS sent an email to everyone today about it.

I came across Target clearing out the 1966 Batman action figures for $12. I saw the Penguin and the Riddler.

Forgot to mention something new I saw at Target. Was walking through the toy aisles when they had a little display for reprints of famous DC Comics (Flashpoint #1 and others) packed with small action figurines of characters like Wonder Woman, Batman and the Flash.

That's a really cool set. If I had the cash to throw at it, or the space to keep it, it would be mine.
