Read it and loved the story. Art sucks though.

Re: Steve Rogers, Agent of... (SPOILERS)

Read it, didnt care for it (much like Dimension Z cap) will wait for the next.

As far as the outrage goes, I know it's just comics. But some people have such an attachment to characters that I feel that comes with a certain amount of responsibility from creators.

At some point you need to be a caretaker.

And with Caps new found popularity I think it was just bad timing. This would have been a non issue 10-15 years from ago. But now with a 1 billion dollar movie still in theaters, it seems irresponsible.

This is the story you do when Caps popularity is down and you want a boost, not at its peak.

On the flip side tho, here is a good article about fan entitlement in the modern era.

And with issue 2, they've already revealed that these are false memories implanted via the Cosmic Cube.

I'm far from a conspiracy guy, but I wonder if the timing of it was meant to take a little limelight away from DC's Rebirth.

Figured they'd draw it out at least six months or so before revealing the truth. Hope the death threats didn't speed up the reveal.

The fact that anyone doubted this would be the case is by far the bigger shock to me.

Yes. absolutely without a doubt yes. And it worked. Rebirth got more praise, but Cap got more media.
