I got the MOKF Omnibus #4 earlier this Fall. Wow - this is truly magnificent, and I don't say that lightly. This has the bulk of the late Gene Day's art on the title - superb work here. Truly gorgeous art re: these issues, and the reproduction is stellar. These stories he drew here have a noir quality to them, especially the scenes taking place @ dusk & at night. Day really creates a unique, edgy, and at times sultry atmosphere that I've never seen reproduced in any other comic I've read. It's a shame that he passed on so young & isn't around now to appreciate how good his art looks recolored & remastered in this stellar volume.
To a much lesser extent, also enjoying the non-Day issues, including the later ones with art by a young David Mazzuchelli - solid work here as well. I have never read the Bleeding Black or the Marvel Comics Presents/Wolverine issues, so it will be nice to get into those . As always with these Omnis, nice extras in the back re: pin-ups, b&w rough art, etc.

I picked up all the MOKF/DHOKF omniboo because of the reported scarcity, then was surprised to see a couple MOKF Epics come out. Ultimately it was fine, though, as I find that format more convenient for reading. Recently, though, all the MOKF digital editions disappeared from Kindle and Marvel Unlimited, and a CS rep said they had lost the rights. I’m glad I got as much as I did.
DHOKF singles are still on Kindle for now,

It's a bummer to hear they lost the rights again, but I think we all expected that would happen eventually. I'm glad I picked up the 4 MoKF omnibuses. It's such a great series. I did like having the digital epics to read on my tablet though. Did the third one ever come out? Might grab the 2 Deadly Hands books if they're still available, but it's not a priority.

^ Shoot! I hadn't heard that. They had announced a third Epic collection sometime back and that's one I've been patiently waiting on (though I'm still only in the middle of the first).
Hope they still have time to pop that one out as I like that format and price point much more for certain titles. This being one of those.

The first two Epics came out in 2018 and 2019, and the third one never made it, I assume a pandemic victim.
And yeah, I read the digital Epics instead of the omniboo. I think I also bought at least one on paper just in case this happened.
