Isn't Uncanny X-Force the second series with those characters? Might be worth checking out the regular X-force title Remender worked on.
I'm still trying to wrap my head around Seven Soldiers of Victory, especially with the tie ins to stuff like Final Crisis. The whole Dark Side Club thing with Mr. Miracle still goes completely over my head, but it is much easier to read collected.

Is Seven Soldiers of Victory worth a blind buy? It seems like classic Morrison, though some of the characters interest me more than others.

Last few I've bought have been digital Thor and Captain America collections.

I think it's definitely worth buying if you like Morrison's DC superhero stuff (and not everyone does). It is classic Morrison, most of the time the technobabble is so dense that it's hard to understand, but if you can roll with his normal stuff then this is more of the same. It does kinda directly tie into Final Crisis, though you don't need to read that.
About the characters: they're basically all wildly removed from their previous incarnations with the exception of Zatanna and maybe Klarion. It also has very little to do with the original Seven Soldiers of Victory. But still, IMHO, worth a read.

Since I recently bought this...
...and since I'd never read any of the original comics, I figured it was high time to buy this:

On FCBD I picked up Demon Knights vol 3 to complete that run. Still need to start reading any of it, but as a Demon completist I needed it.
Picked up the digital sale of Batman and Son the other day; curious to read my first Morrison bats.

Re: What's the last TPB/Graphic Novel you bought?
Just my opinion but Morrison's big arc, RIP is mostly pretty overrated and kind of a mess. I liked aspects of it but I don't think it's the best story ever or anything and felt like a lot of times he was just over-complicating things for the sake of doing so. To me the best part of that overall arc was the run he did on Batman & Robin.

I can appreciate supporting local independent comic shops, but if you're after bargains, places like In Stock Trades, and Cheap Graphic Novels have way more HCs and TPBs than any physical comic store and they regularly discount 40% to 50% their books all the time.

I just bought "Colossal Conan", and it is a fucking beast!
Seriously, this thing makes big Omnibus collections look like floppies. It is massive - just look!
At 13"x9", it's more than just over-sized, and collecting 51 issues on 1,300 pages of thick paper-stock, it's 4" thick.
Oh, and the content is fantastic, from the stories, the writing, the characters and the amazing art. I really can't recommend this enough. Though it's not very practical for toilet reading...
