The Thanos Wars: Infinity Origin Omnibus
It's basically Starlin's introduction of Thanos in his Warlock book from the '70s, culminating in an epic showdown with Avengers, which "killed" him off, until Starlin brought him back just before Infinity Gauntlet in Silver Surfer.
It's pretty much the height of Marvel's '70s sci-fi. The early stuff has some of the best art Stalin has done.

Haven't started it yet, but just flipping through it, I really dig the artist's style. Simple, but soundly observed.
