Re: Comic/Super-Hero Sheep NOW!
So then is Katherine Pryde an acceptable answer if just her mind traveled from the past to inhabit her younger self? Or how about Illyana Rasputin? She disappears to limbo and comes back as Magik (tho she wasn't technically an X-man but rather a New Mutant) she's not from the future per se, but she has aged from her original appearance.

.Magik I would put in the same boat as Longshot in that she's technically not coming from the future or an alternate timeline, but kind of fits within the spirit of the question.
Reagrding Kitty, it's been a long time since I read Days of Future Past so I don't remember all of the specifics, but I'm pretty sure the "mind travel" thing was just temporary and Kitty was just regular old Kitty when the story was over. In otherwords, she wouldn't count (unless you're refering to a different story that I don't remember).

1. Layla Miller - maybe
Is the version of the character in the present still young, or did the adult version actually replace the younger one when she traveled back in time? To me, if the character is the age they are supposed to be in the present, then they are not from the future. In other words, if Layla is still a kid then the answer is wrong. If she's an adult, then it's correct. Cable would be correct because even if he was born in the present, he is significantly older than he should be, thus is from the future.

In addition to her mutant powers, Layla has acquired:
Pseudo-Precognition: When an adult Layla returned from the future, she uploaded all the knowledge about her lifetime and information from the next 80 years into the mind of her younger self at Saint Joan's Orphanage just after M-Day before Layla came to join X-Factor Investigations. However, the process was imperfect and left gaps in her knowledge, or "blind spots", but enabled her to seemingly "predict" the future, or "know stuff."[5] The adult Layla still retained a large amount of knowledge acquired about the world and the future. Much of her knowledge as an adult seemed to be from a journal that she wrote, and planned to read again in eighty years, for her younger self to read. It is possible that this method of precognition created many diverging time-lines (Though Doom claimed that his time machine prevented this from occuring) and that she attempted this many times.

It's amazing that no matter whatever new information people post, I still can't seem to figure it out.

Re: Comic/Super-Hero Sheep NOW!
now, I'm sick of Layla Miller and Longshot, and no matter what i decide on Dream, it isn't supported by data. The Summers name wasn't specifically used, but she was Rachels daughter...so all three are up for vote.
Yes = correct answer
No = incorrect answer
1st to ten wins
1. Layla Miller -
2. Longshot -
3. Dream SUmmers -

I don't think this is the part you should be focusing on to prove your case. This is the part that explains how she "knows stuff" before it happens as a kid. You should be foucusing on the fact that she left "modern" times, went into the Summers Rebellion future, and then came back to "modern" times as an adult and rejoined the team. The Layla that exists now in the 616 universe would not exist as an adult without time travel.

and when she comes back she looks like

Challenge - Magneto is actually a wrong answer. Magneto was initially on the Heroes, then non-aligned, then actually rebuffed an alliance overture from the villains.
